I hate the government meddling where it doesn't belong

but in this case, I can't think of a single reason to oppose it.

Government "does" have an obligation to protect it's citizens, and what could be less controversial than promoting transparancy in the very food we eat. If the government doesn't do it, who will?

I don't want the government dictating what I can and cannot eat, but I do count on government to force private enterprise to be honest about their products. Or at least as honest as is possible in the real world.

Maybe she thinks her constituents were the norm?

I know, maybe we need ANOTHER federal program to teach people that boxes are three dimensional. After all they are doing such a bang up job with a very difficult task like counting people.

Can we please stop sending these morons to Washington. Let'em stay in their own state and run a home owner's association.

speaking of waste in govt.------LOL !

As for the census, your fellow travellers in the right-wing media ( moronic Michelle Bachman ) have gotten her "sheep" convinced that filling out the census will buy them a 1 way ticket to an "internment camp."

& quoting CNS news, a far right publication-----bureaucrat, someone should inform your superiors of your "seditious" activities-----LMAO !

Best damn sector to be in.

My thanks to those of you who still pay taxes!

If we try hard enough maybe we can get to be like France where kids dream of getting a government job, and 40%+ work for their local or national government.

I'm combing the fed job postings daily so I can get me one of those new Green Police jobs.

...let OPM know that Gov't Bureaucrat claims that they are Green Police jobs. I would love the USA to be more like France. 8 weeks paid vacation a year and the best health care in the world sounds like a fabulous idea to me.

Save taxpayers your salary and resign. You quit long ago. Losers like you working for government at any level are the cancer that you rail wild eyed against. Loser.

I'd like to hear your rationalization for that one.

Just another example of government intrusion.  I don't need no darn government to tell me a donut is fattening, you shouldn't eat soap powder, you don't touch a hot iron, you don't look into the barrel of a gun.... geesh.... where do these idiots come from...

I'm waiting for a new requirement on the cover of porn magazines warning that it could cause mental disease if you don't have a waiting partner available... lol

wouldn't you like to have the option as a consumer to know if one donut brand has sugar and the other has high frutose corn syrup? Isn't truth in food labeling just allowing the market to work more properly by allowing consumers to make better informed choices?

I just don't get why this is such a bad idea.

Well, ya, I suppose you have a point as it pertains to food.  It would be useful to know what's in it.  But I still don't need to be told not to eat soap powder... lol
