From the album Little Criminals

Beat up little seagull
On a marble stair
Tryin' to find the ocean
Lookin' everywhere

Hard times in the city
In a hard town by the sea
Ain't nowhere to run to
There ain't nothin' here for free

Hooker on the corner
Waitin' for a train
Drunk lyin' on the sidewalk
Sleepin' in the rain

And they hide their faces
And they hide their eyes
'Cause the city's dyin'
And they don't know why

Oh Baltimore
Man it's hard just to live
Oh, Baltimore
Man, it's hard just to life, just to live

Get my sister Sandy
And my little brother Ray
Buy a big old wagon
To haul us all away

Live out in the country
Where the mountain's high
Never comin' back here
'Til the day I die

Oh, Baltimore
Man, it's hard just to live
Oh, Baltimore
Man, it's hard just to live, just to liv

I have met some of the most genuine amazing people ever in Baltimore. I have been away since the city has been in an uproar, but I cannot wait to return. I have great faith in this city. The system? Not so much. But the spirit and love and courage of the people of Baltimore has not died. I'm almost sure.

I have had the chance to speak with friends who are there now, and it breaks my heart. So many passionate men and women, who maybe do not know how to handle their emotions. I have had conversations with them prior to this unfortunate event, and the pain has always been there. I wish I could just hug everyone and make it all better! But unfortunately we don't live in lala land.

Hopefully this isn't just another speck on the radar and the underlying problems can be solved. Not only in Baltimore! I don't care what anyone says, this is much more then a bunch of "delinquents running wild."

I still love charm city, and dammit I'm still charmed! I may be an optimistic CA fruitcake (somebody has actually called me that lol SHAME!) but that is what is wrong with America now. The love is gone, and has since been replaced with prejudice, social bias, and just pure selfishness. We would rather put each other down then help build our fellow PEOPLE up.

Love conquers hate, just some food for thought.

Absolutely love your post! Thanks for being you and posting this great message. I agree with you. Love conquers hate. We're all ONE race anyways and people fight over race wars, we're all the HUMAN RACE. We all bleed the same red blood and cry the same salty tears.
Only ones who gain something from race wars are the rich elite of society (rockerfellers, bloomburgs, Rothschilds..) they want society a certain way and want to eliminate the POOR not just one type of poor(be it black, white, latina...ALL POOR) and people not like them (people who are God loving !) those people who truly run our country laugh when we fight our fellow man. They are putting shit in our foods and in the air to give us diseases and kill us off. But we make it easy when we stand in the streets killing each other. It's the huge percentage of the population versus the 2% rich elite. That's the real struggle. But everyone is so blinded by dumbass superficial shit, because they're shocked/scared by the news?!! Who makes the news? Oh the families previous mentioned? That's right. Anyone who gets all riled up based on what they saw ON THE FUCKING NEWS, is a dumbass.

Wake up everyone !!!
