I like big, convention-type places that are busy.  The more activity going on in the hotel and the bigger the hotel the less chances of eyes watching me.  The smaller the place, the higher the chance that your being watched.

I avoid cheap places such as Red Roof and Super 8.  The less you pay for the room, the higher chances that others are working out of there that aren't so careful.  Police presence is higher.  Staff is trained in many of the cheaper places to look for us. Think about it this way, there are many, many providers out there that aren't safe or professional enough to get a decent place.  These girls like the cheaper places and make big mistakes to bring attention to themselves such as to share a room (high traffic in one area), get loud, party, smoke in non smoking rooms, stay there too long or get messed up on their drug of choice and do something else that can alert the hotel they need to call LE or train their staff to watch for us.

Of course these things can happen in bigger places however, as long as your not causing a disturbance and blend in with the crowd (I normally check in wearing business casual), the chances are lower.  

Regardless of where you hobby, most of the stories I hear about bad things happening in hotels normally start with either something go the hotel's attention and they took action or no screening was done or poor screening or the provider didn't verify that the gentleman that showed up was the one she screened
