If you haven't spent the major part of the cost (her fee) and you know you can get what you're seeking elsewhere, a decision based on what has already irrevocably spent (sunk cost) is always wrong. As the saying goes, 'it's throwing good money after bad'.

It's called little head making the decision instead of big head. Already revved up and ready to go and you'd do just about anything or anyone.
