That's a shame Phoenix Bar isn't worth visiting. I always enjoy meeting prostitutes at bars and having a few drinks before I service them. That has always been my strategy at the Old Queen Mary in Studio City, Peanuts in West Holly, Frat House in Garden Grove. Divas, the Las Vegas Lounge and my all-time favorite-- the late great Blacklite on Western Ave.
Chicago used to have some clubs that had a nice mix of working and not working girls. anyone know if any still exist?
Try the Baton Show Lounge or the TS Fantasy Club. Sadly the old El Gato Negro is no more, that was "the place" to go for years. There are some gay bars that have drag shows in Boystown but those places are hit and miss........mostly miss.
I cannot vouch for this place, seems like, based on reviews, some nights are great and some nights are not so great.
There also used to be a Latin club on the South Side that was good. I can't recall the name of it. Mostly CD's but not exclusively so.
The problem was getting a cab or Uber out of there at 3:00 am. The club was safe, the neighborhood was unsafe.

Yes, Timotl that is the club I was trying to think of, La Cueva. Maybe the area isn't that bad but I had a difficult time getting a cab, never could get Uber, to pick me up from there.
Timotl do you remember El Gato Negro? Now that place was always a sure thing. Not as good as LA, SF or NY but it was always a fun time.

By the Airport - you can try Phoenix bar, it's in Elk Grove. A Gay bar that has a lot of TS and may still even have a TS specific night? It used to be another very similar kind of bar called Hunters before it re-opened.
In the City - many gay bars in boys town North Halstead area will have a lot of TS or TS specific nights. Popular ones; Berlin Nightclub, Spin, Sidetrack, Roscoes, Hydrate, Kit Kat Super club plus more.

Ahhh, Phoenix bar....girls will stay at the cheap hotel next door to the bar and work from there. If you ever see ads with the location as Elk Grove Village, they are most likely there so they can spend time at Phoenix meeting guys. There are a few BP girls who frequent the place and one who even brings her friends in from out of town.... Makes for some decent hunting....

To be honest, the bar itself isn't that great. It's good for a local because there is a rotating crop of decent girls but there are never many there at one time. I can pick them off one by one since they all post on BP in addition to going to the bar but for someone looking for a wide variety of girls at one time, I can't recommend it....
I typically never go out to the suburbs when I am in Chicago, so do you think this Phoenix Bar would be worth staying a night out in area code (847)? I'd assume Friday or Saturday would be the best nights there. I'd like to give this place a try sometime, maybe this summer I'll try the reverse commute.
Timotl have you ever had any luck at The Baton Show Lounge? What I've found there is the girls performing in the shows don't mix with the patrons much but I've met some girls there not in the show. I also arranged to meet one of the show girls at Berlin later and we took things from there.
Phoenix bar is not worth driving to. It is a gay bar visited by a few traveling ts girls in between working at the hotel next door to dance, drink, and party. I've never had any luck at any of the clubs with shows but I don't frequent them. The girls are generally too focused on their performances to really want to mix. 95% of the girls who work the clubs advertise anyway so what's the point? It's easier to just call them when they have a room and I can simply go see them. I don't like to create an extra step for myself...
Now, if we had a place like Divas here in Chicago it would be a different story, but here it's just too much work for mediocre results.
No I get that and it makes sense. For me its always more fun to hit the clubs and see if you connect with a girl. It also gives you the opportunity to check them out before you make that call. There was a girl once I considered calling, not in Chicago, but after seeing her rude behavior, belittle the staff at the bar, and spend the night on her phone while people talked to her it saved me the trouble.
I'd much rather go the Diva's route than call and set up an appointment but not all cities offer that as an option like NY, LA, SF and a few others like New Orleans, Boston, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa, Minneapolis, and I'd even throw in Chicago.

I can't remember ever being there. There was also a Latin club on the south side of Santa Monica in the 80's by Wilcox where anything goes. There was a quasi hotel on Wilton--El Nido that is still there and use to cater to some hard core transvestites. Sometimes I can't believe I'm still alive.
