Yeah, I totally missed that bright red font at the top of the regional boards for several months. Can't even claim to be color blind, just missed it.
And yes, when I finally DID see the red font my immediate (false) assumption was that it would apply to the Photo Board instead of just the Regional Boards. And yes, you are absolutely correct that I wanted a theme day to be for the Photo Board. I really miss seeing everyone dolled up toward a consistent image now and then. Kinda like going to a fancy dinner and seeing all the little black dresses at once; sometimes it's helpful to have a little direction on what to post.I admit it, you've won me over. At the beginning I just didn't get the appeal but then the page started loading in "flat" instead of "tree" mode and the light came on.
The eye candy you ladies offer is just amazing! The creativity and attention to detail is very much appreciated, even with the photo shopping. And the occasional raw selfie makes me think she got so turned on that she couldn't wait to flirt by photo!
I'm waiting for someone to take on the challenge of telling a story by daily photo, something akin to the Burma shaves signs of yesteryear. Maybe starting with a schoolgirl outfit, then a teacher outfit, then a professional office worker; something with progression. Or a photo battle where several try to post the best photo of a specific scene -- granted, that might be a return to the "theme day" style of last year.
Perhaps TER could run a poll on having a single theme day per month for the photo board, with members voting all month between several options and being rewarded on the last Friday of the month with a glorious layout of unified sexiness from across the country. I'll start by suggesting the first poll be to choose between: military, boating, black & white, or sunset profiles.
Just noticed today that if you visit the regional boards, at the top of the screen in red font is a notice that they're going to add a theme day. Yeehaa!
That message has been there for months, perhaps as long as the photo board has been up. They occasionally have theme days on the regional boards for special occasions. (This year so far, they had one for Valentine's Day, Mardi Gras, and the most recent one was for the Fourth of July.) I believe the OP was talking about having theme days on the photo board
