More than likely, insurance will cover his loss. I don't know if you can get divorce insurance though.

I have no judgement on any adults of consenting age and mental capacity having sex.

I don't judge either, I think the mental capacity of the providers at least the deceased one could be questioned. Given the circumstances surrounding his death, sane people usually don't crash through the gate of NSA headquarters.
I doubt if hubby had to tell wifey anything, as she probably saw her vehicle smashed, and shot up on the local news instead of outside of her home. Hubby wasn't even given the opportunity to present a believable story.
