...rates going up could be a reflection of that. We all have different expenses and things going on in our lives. I can really only know best on why I think I need a raise lol.

Not so much a complaint as an observation. I have my cut offs as far as price and level of service but would be interested in others takes on this trend.

It costs to host an incall and it costs to travel.
Works better when appointments are pre-booked and actually followed through.
Cancellations and no shows subtract from the $$$ that could have been.
To only provide the same level of service and keep a smile on your face and only taking home $50-$75 for an appointment is NOT cool.
Just my .02 on the matter.

Depending on what your price point is, the ladies on the MD ad board, myself included, that have decent scores and a very extensive menus still offer a good to awesome time for under $500 and some under $400. A lot of us offer a P411 discount, so contact through there and get an extra $50-$100 off depending on length of session. Shop smart and when all else fails, TOFFT on a mature newbie rather than a young BP hottie. Lots of nice new ladies in the area this spring too. :)

Some areas are doing better than others. But my concern is whether this is a simple matter of particular escorts coming through or if this represents a shift in the Baltimore metro market. If better quality ladies are regularly touring or have decided to establish themselves here, then so much the better. Maybe the arrival of $400 an hour escorts is a stronger stronger indicator of the economic well-being of an area than getting a Whole Foods.

I can't see where the underground economy would be an indicator of the actually economy.

Baltimore has an expansive illicit drug economy, when was the last time you popped down on Pennsylvania ave. to purchase under one roof a new set of silver, pair of shoes, and a shower curtain?

There will always be ladies at every price point. That's a fact.

Everyone has to deal with inflation, so I accept that prices go up everywhere for everything.
I agree with your observations and about price cut offs.  Still my choice whether I will pay it or forego it.

however, like you, I can set my own limits.

I do think that luxury goods are less impacted by general economic conditions than essentials, but I have to wonder whether the pool of folks able (or willing) to spend more for luxury goods is growing or shrinking. It will be interesting to see the competition for limited clients at the upper price points.

I note that wages and salaries as a percentage of GDP are at a near 20-year low. If the economy is "recovering", the money is NOT getting into the hands of the people who might spend it on discretionary items. Percent change in disposable income has declined on average since 1998 (arguably, since 1984). For those that get it, the velocity of money (M1, M2) has steadily declined since the late 1990's - not indicative of an economic resurgence. Is deflationary pressure spreading from the EU and Asia?

Yeah, I'm not drinking the "economy is good/recovering" Kool-aid just yet.

My crystal ball is as imperfect as anyone else... but I think we'll see some interesting yo-yo "price point" changes in the upcoming months/years.

There are plenty of guys who spend way more than 500/hr on fun things all of the time.

Currently I live in Las Vegas. There are always people gambling in the high limit area, always people dining at the high end restaurants, always people buying bottle service at the nightclubs, always people shopping at the insane shoe stores.

Do I live this way? No. But plenty do. You just don't find them posting on the message boards. Sometimes they do, but it's very rare.

IF you think P4P is a necessity, a God given right for all men, then yeah, every provider should be affordable and accepting of all clients who contact her. And her price point and level of service should at best be average.

IF you think the hobby is a luxury, a true experience and connection with a chosen individual, then each provider should create her business based on the experience she is willing to give. Her price point and level of service should consistently be above average.

Ideally this -OR- would work of course, but we don't live in a world of ideals. So, it just is what it is. People will always spend on what they value as important and will find a way to obtain what is thought to be financially unobtainable. Ok well time for bed. Remedial hooker math starts at 9am. LOL!

For me, I like to think of this hobby as a way to have special encounters with providers that fit a certain fantasy that I have in mind.
I really enjoy viewing body art on sexy women, so I have had the opportunity to find providers that fit into what I like to see.  Then there are providers who have awesome descriptive websites that drive my imagination, and I will see them as well for the unique experience that they may provide.
With my budget, I seek out special sessions over seeing a lot of women in a short time.  Maybe my memoir will be titled The Sexual Adventures of an Ugly Ass Horndog.  Of course I'll change the names and places to protect the not so innocent.  :-D

Save up in increments of $10,000 before you start to hobby for the year. That way you can afford who you want to see. Sell and gets some gains for the PIT (Pussy investment trust), lol.
