It turns out that scientists who champion global warming now are saying that the seas aren't rising as much as they htought.

Kind of like the Himalayas and other claims that have been "modified" and abandoned. They admit they were wrong.

Remember, the rising seas was one of the big effects and reasons why it had to be controlled. All those Pacific nations that were going to disappear and needed hundreds of billions.

Oh, yeah. Before we go all ad hominem and attack the source, this ain't Evil Fox.  It is the Guardian that has been pro-left and very environmental for ever.

Global warming hype is a capitalist plot to further exploit the working class.

''The rise predicted by Siddall et al is much lower. That is not surprising, since their parameters were fitted to the slow changes of the big ice sheets (time scale t=2900 years) and don’t “see” the early response caused by thermal expansion and mountain glaciers, which makes up most of the 20th Century sea level rise. What is surprising, though, is that Siddall et al. in their paper claim that their parameter values reproduce 20th Century sea level rise. This appears to be a calculation error (4); this will be resolved in the peer-reviewed literature. Our values in the above table are computed correctly (in our understanding) using the same parameters as used by the authors in generating their Fig.3. Their model with the parameters fitted to glacial-interglacial data thus underestimates 20th Century sea level rise by a factor of two. ''

So can we gather that the   ocean levels now look to be rising faster than the IPCC predicted ?

They can move back to a nearby island that has grown twice the size however they really should consult with the Dutch on dike building techniques....or they could move to a island in the ocean and away from rising river waters caused by monsoons..

THE COMPUTER ENGINEERS
Two young engineers applied for a single position at a computer company. They both had the same qualifications.
In order to determine which individual wholesale electronics to hire, the applicants were asked to take a test by the department manager.
Upon completion of the test, both men missed only one of the questions. The manager went to the first applicant and said, "Thank android tablet you for your interest, but we've decided to give the job to the other applicant."
"And why would you do that? We both got nine questions correct," asked the rejected applicant.
"We have based our decision not on the ebook reader correct answers, but on the question you missed," said the department manager.  starzmart
"And just how would one incorrect answer baby monitors be better than the other?" the rejected applicant inquired.
"Simple," said the department manager. "Your fellow applicant put down cheap netbook for sale on question #5, 'I don't know.' You put down, 'Neither do I.'"
