Try downloading the new Firefox browser at the attached link.  Use it instead of internet explorer, its faster and less prone to spyware problems.

I'm assuming that the OS is some version of Windows and the browser is Internet Explorer 6. If you're running Windows XP, have you "upgraded" to Service Pack 2? If so, when?

The good news is that this most likely isn't a virus, worm, spyware, or the like. It is more likely something whacked in the browser configuration.

Seriously, Remove the ad-bocking and cookie thing from your firewall software(I'm guessing it's Norton Internet Security). It might work.
