The corporate sponsors need Tiger as badly as he needs them. Within the next year, he will have completed his national apology tour (Oprah's bookers are probably already speaking to his agents and publicists) and he will be signing new deals for millions and millions of dollars.
What's even more distasteful to me is the mock outrage of his wife, Elin, and those who are close to him. This was an arranged marriage to make a "Negro" more acceptable as a champion in a all-white sport with a long history or racism. Remember the commotion and all the racist jokes about Tiger and the "green blazer?" Elin went into this marriage with full knowledge that Tiger liked to fuck a lot of different women and was given a "limitless" credit card for her silence.
What sparked her outrage wasn't his infidelity but more likely that he brought an STD home or got one of his fuck buddies pregnant, jeopardizing her financial payout with a palimony lawsuit.
He can replace all his lost revenue from condom endorsements

I think you should ignore Tiger Woods' drama, go see a provider and enjoy yourself. Other peoples' drama is not worth examining imo.

It's not a scandal that a wealthy athlete would like to fuck around. The only scandal here is that the media won't shut up about it. The only reason why Woods apologized is to make the public relations of Nike a little better when they sign him again. It's all corporate bullshit.
When will we stop paying attention to the sex lives of public figures? I could give a shit. Americans are dying in Afghanistan, Haiti is a wreck, the economy is in the shitter, unemployment is sky high, and there's still no health care bill, and THIS is what the cretins in the MSM talk about?

"Yes Tiger owes the world an apology, but for very different reasons. Tiger is a company. Tiger is a brand. It needs to be protected just like any company. This is no different than a pharma, auto, or any company for that matter that fucks up with a product. The CEO has to go on TV and apologize in order to protect its brand. Granted, Tiger didn't release a faulty product in the marketplace, but he needs his remaining sponsors and potentially new sponsors to see value in the brand.
Tiger's mistake was taking almost 3 months to release a statement. This is about controlling the message. What he did was allow others, i.e. the media to dictate and control the messaging."
Frankly I'm surprised Tiger Inc let it go this far. I'm surprised Toyota didn't get out in front of their recalls fast enough. I'm surprised every time a company fails to get out in front of a problem considering they teach this shit in all MBA programs.
