I'm a opportune advertiser, but I use every avenue that is applicable based upon where I am and it seems like no one gets on here in Michigan. They are all on the free forum sites gossiping like little girls. It is quite sad if you ask me because if we were in Chicago or New York it wouldn't be a problem to get business through here.
Why does it seem like there are no longer any meet and greets going on or interaction on the boards between one another? I remember when I used Scorps and E.V there use to be functions all the time. What is going on in MI?
Just a few things to consider
-There used to be several local boards here, with a lot of interaction on them, now they're all gone, and with them a lot of guys lost there references.
-There's limited selection to choose from, there's 3 national boards really left, and as of this positing there were about 80 on 411, 40 on Er, and this one which only had a couple of ads. And all had basically the same ladies.
-Then there's the price inflation, close to a 1/3 on the ladies advertising were asking for 450 to 500 and a couple as high as 600 to meet with them and some, according to what the reviews say have quite limited menu offerings.
-Most ladies just don't respond, (I know this one from personal experience), and I'm not talking last minutes stuff.
-A percentage of the ladies don't see black clients, (which is quite interesting when you consider the Detroit area racial breakdown)
Now I travel to the area a lot from out of town, and usually its easier to see someone who's visiting, (usually from an agency).
I'm sure theres more than the above, but just a couple of points to consider..............

Guys in Michigan are not responding to ads because they're cheap...........
this is my first visit to the boards in years but cost and poor service is why I dropped the hobbie................
There were more events when I joined the hobby a couple years ago. I would love to attend a M&G now that summer is over and holiday season is around the corner! HO HO HO

I'm not sure why there's a lack of interaction here. I'm relatively new here, but I've tried to post a bit here and there. I'll try to participate a little more, since there seems to be a tiny little spark here on the MI board.
I used to be on the local boards and participated quite a bit and attended meet and greets. It was a great community! However that sense of community doesn't seem to exist anymore. I believe that things started to fall apart when the 2 large MI boards were first getting hacked, then were shut down. No one knew where to go at first but we eventually found a new home. Sadly it didn't last and with lots of drama (board owner outting ladies at a meet and greet to wait staff and bartenders, threats by board owner to turn board over to authorities) surrounding them the board owners shut the board down. We were once again without a home. Then there was the creation of a blog that ripped apart any provider or hobbyist on the MI boards they felt like ripping apart and animosity and bad feelings seemed to become the most prevalent emotion on the boards that remained. I myself have not been on a local board in almost a year because it just made me sad to see what had become of a community that had, at one time had a lot of fun together. Plus I got tired of logging on to find posts about there not being any decent ladies in MI. You can't have a fun active board when the members are constantly putting each other down.
So that's my opinion anyway, and its the reason I haven't been on the boards.
Lastly, I don't charge $600/hour, I strive to be then best GFE you've ever had and I don't get involved in any type of drama. So in my opinion there are still great choices for you in MI!

Sad to hear the story of the old board owner who sounds like a real dick. Must've been a roller coaster given the lack of discretion, especially at a live event.
Anyway, I would love to see some of the community become a little more active here. I see the threads and posts get plenty of reads, but few replies. Maybe people are still a tad gun shy.
It would definitely be nice if more people participated! But yes I think some are still gun shy for sure!!
I would be more active if there was more opportunity on the west side of the state, but unfortunately most of the action seems to be on the east side. I do know that some visit this side, but the infrequency of the visits make it hard to get schedules to align.
The west side is tricky! I actually live on the west side but my incall is on the east side of the state. I used to go back and forth between Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo and then cities on the east side but there were so many times when I would book GR and no one would pre-book or half the appointments I did get would cancel so I stopped making the trip. I can guarantee though, if you made the trip east I'd make it worth your while!!
I might have to drive north to see you sometime. I live in Ohio. But my best friend lives in Rochester so I do get up to Michigan. Quite often. Just read your reviews and I am intrigued.
