I heard was it 110 to make 1500 on Sat. Even that seems a little low considering the task the Sox were facing 4 games ago, and 100 yrs of history on the books side!

Wow!!

I just wish I had called my bookie after the BoSox were down 3-0!!

My Dodgers didn't get past the 1st round and i'm a NL guy anyway
but I', always happy to see the underdog rise up.....

BTW i wonder what the Vegas odds were.....

I suspect most of us LA Dodger fans were especially happy for Dave Roberts who really gave the Sox a boost with his stolen base at a truly critical point in the series, who then scored on a single.  This seems to be a really great guy, and I hope he gets a chance to contribute in the series.  I would have sat Damon for him after he popped the bunt up.

Just shows why they don't pay me to manage baseball.

And then the other key LA contribution is we traded one of the ture horse's asses to the Yankees in one Kevin Brown.  I was equally pleased to see him stink the joint up on the Yankees' behalf.  I can only imagine New York's contempt for him, and well deserved it is.

Not to steal your thunder, but this series showed that the Yankees don't really have any pitching save for a tired closer. Mussina pitched over his capabilities a couple of times this year and when the bats went silent, even 'ol George knew that he might have spent his money on the wrong players. Pitching always wins games where the last team that scores can win. Remember in Baseball, it only takes a run, any kind of run... Sox will finally beat the curse...

I hope the Sox win the series this year because Steinbrenner is pissed, despite his public statements (congrats to the Sox).  If there is anything that he hates worst than not getting what he wants, it is loosing to the Sox when winning matters.  He is sure to push his payroll near or past the 200 million mark next year in an attempt to vanquish the Sox.  It is possible that a Sox player of value could end up in Yankee pinstripes next year (Martinez or Lowe).

I agree George is going ballistic right about now. He would like nothing more next year to stick it to the Red Sox by grabbing somone currently on their roster. It just won't be Pedro. They have enough clowns on the roster, ie. Kevin Brown.
