At lunch today, the guys were talking about game 6 of NY-BOS.  I lost interest right after "did you see the game...", and went back to looking at the women in the restaurant.

One of them asked about the other series, to which I replied "What other series?".

I didn't know the strike ended.  Or was that I didn't care.

The American way.
All fun, all good.
So how come watching the preseason games has me so stressed??!!
LOL! It's supposed to be FUN! LOL!

OK..how many of you are watching the Yanks and the Red Sox?
Houston and St. Louis?

I've known some very nice women (and you seem so to me) who stressed over that when watching sports with me, in a game where the players really played their hearts out.

Remember, the losers will get over it, and will be glad they were in a championship game...

Hi Sedona, I was watching NYY until BOS won in the 14th inning.  The sun will come up tomorrow.  Go Yanks.

What could be better than a bottom of the 14th tension filled All-American pastime win??? Oh, well, there is THAT! but men can think of other things too!!

Go Sox

Right! Back to NYC for games 6&7. GO SOX. [and Houston] note: do you realize that if Boston and Houston win, the World series will be Kerry v Bush?

aw no wonder you are so stressed, you don't get the game rofl
j/k ya

How about a ballpark adventure??? We could start a scandal like those people in Toronto a few years ago!!

What's the rumor about the name. I like the Senators but I think they have to get that name from the Milwaukee franchise.

Sox get to D** another day...lol

Compliments to Dingus/NYC board for finding this woeful but funny picture.

Cheers Yanks!

I'm friendly with the owner of one of Boston's best known, upscale agencies. He has told me that the business is impervious to most economic or other external conditions with the singular exception of critical Red Sox games, when business slows to a trickle.  Of course...the Sox are a religion in these parts, seemingly putting more banal needs on the back burner.

I think I'd quit hobbying for a year if they ever won it all. Then again.......
