I didn't see the PTL segment where Tony went off about Hannah Storm's outfit. I elected to attach the NY Post article vs ESPN's comment as it had specifics on what Tony said on air.

First, I've always despised Tony Kornheiser. He was pathetic on MNL, and I really can't watch him on PTL because his voice is just too grating for me. To me he is just a little piece of shit. Second, if I was Dan Hicks, Hannah's husband, I would definitely put my fist down his throat.

I've never liked this guy, and the sooner he's gone, the better.  Why does a guy like this, who nobody seems to like, continually get high profile positions?

I switch channels. kornheiser never has anything to say. I wonder how do these "dweebs" get jobs.

Frankly, you spoke too highly of him.

as Tony does you are bound to make a few inappropriate comments. This was nothing racial, nothing illegal, and probably nothing untrue, just a bit sexist and clearly inappropriate.

Not the first time he's been suspended from the show either. But his occasional willingness to be politically incorrect and scathing- Brian Billick hated him for years bc Tony always called him a "preening shmo" - is what makes him worth watching as opposed to the canned, bland, and safe personalities that now dominate ESPN.

Full disclosure - I do know Wilbon a bit so I'm not completely objective on this issue.

I'm being a bit superficial. I don't like the way he looks or sounds. He was a bust on MNF. Maybe I don't sports journalists that probably never played a sport in their life. Plus he made a 'Catcher in the Rye' reference, and let's be real, 90% of his audience probably haven't read it. Is he trying to be smug and literate like Howard Cosell? Give Stephen A. Smith anytime. At least he played a sport in college.

Sports coverage by ex--jocks or coaches is almost universally dismal. With a few exceptions like John Madden, they are not particularly articulate as a group and rarely bring an original point of view to their coverage.

ESPN's selection of color commentators for college basketball is a case in point. Aside from Jay Bilas, you could get rid of everyone of those guys. And the coaches are insufferable. I'm not even going to start on Dick Vitale but almost to a man they just repeat cliches and are unwilling to criticize the members of the their fraternity.

How often have you heard one of the commentators say "he is great coach"? "The team will never back down, will never quite?"

Now how many times have you heard a commentator say, "the coach stinks". Carolina got beat by 25 at home by a Virginia team that had maybe one player who could start for UNC, and the commentators never acknowledged the obvious -Carolina gave up (my one game at the Dean Dome this year).

Tony K will make those kinds of critiques. While his humor is an acquired taste, he was miscast on MNF, and he definitely is no jock, I do find him worth watching.

Yes he is, but....

If he had made similar comments about a male anchor, he might have been punched out, but he probably would not have been suspended.

PC and CYA are way too prevalent in our lives.

I'd sure in hell fuck Hannah Storm in a heatbeat, especially in her Catholic School outfit and her bright red cum-fuck-me boots!!  Maybe he is just pissed since she hasn't blown him!
