The suburbs are much better. Every time I hear of a girl getting harrased it's in the city limits. I never hear of it happening in the outlying area. Stay near O'Hare or in Schaumburg or even Lombard/Oak Brook and you'll be fine.

Because little that they know, they just open a can of worms where they also work there and they are in it as 'fishes', waiting to be caught eventually

The real danger is not getting busted, but in underestimating the costs of what might happen between the time you are arrested, and the time you get released....if, of course, something goes "South."

Ok, let's say you get pissed, and you say the wrong thing to the wrong cop.  The Supreme Court has said that full body cavity searches are just fine, if LE decides they need to be sure they (LE) are "safe from dangers"...you know, hidden weapons, etc.  So it is 3:00am and you pissed off some cop, and now you are given a choice, (since you say you are a girl) to be body cavity searched by a female or a male cop.

Pick female, and you get a bull dyke that hates genetic males.  4 finger dry glove...you bleed from a tear. Or do you pick a male cop....4 finger dry glove, same deal follows on....  Was the glove used new???  Or was it second hand?   Who did they first use it to examine???  Then, you scream some more...now they are annoyed, and to get even, they "make a mistake" and stick you in with 7 morons who hate spanish or white background persons....the cops have the medical records, and 4 of the 7 are HIV positive...You are still bleeding....subject to virus and bacteria infections now very easily....you scream some more to be let outa there...the guards look in and tell one of your new friends to shut you up, or they will remove you.  so, for fun, he jambs into your left eye a dirty filthy finger nail, and your cornea in now scratched real bad with jail filth in the scratch, while 2 more wait behind...you look over at one white guy and another spanish guy, but they are half drunk, and, to be honest, they would rather just look on rather than help you.

At this point the cops have your cell phone, and so you can not call for help.  You now go insane, and you can not stop screaming to be outta there.  3 Cops come in, two take you out to a desk down the hall way.  One holds, on your right hand, your thumb and index finger together real tight....the other holds your ring and pinky finger together real tight...they then press your right hand onto the desk top, while the 3rd bends back your middle finger until it breaks....this hurts.  They then lie and say you fell, and they take you, in a straight jacket, to the hospital, where some newbie sets the break, 5 hours later, (you were tied up the whole time).  Finally, you get to court, maybe 20 hours later...you are released on your own recognizance, but you realize that you need an attorney.

You figure out there are 3 kinds.  Cheap, who might lose the case.  Expensive, you will drop 7k, 4k for the attorney, and the 3k that he gives to the judge to dismiss.  Or super expensive, politically connected, who can get the paperwork ripped up....it never happened.  20k.

Meanwhile, you are dealing with that eye that is damaged and infected, and you are worried about other infections and HIV.  

All this happened because you advertised on BP and _ _ o _ dot com that you were going to "Visit" some city where business is down and some gurl dropped a dime on you, and her BF was a Cop or an Investigator or a judge or whatever.  You though you could make an extra grand or two on the visit, but in the end......the Hard way:  you found out that you really (read the first line, above) underestimated the costs involved.  

Every lesson discussed herein has many elements of reality, all learned the Hard Way.  Bottom, bottom, bottom line:  As the economy slows down, all of the risks will rise for one and for all.  the ENTIRE PURPOSE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT (LE) AND THE SO CALLED CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM IS TO INSTILL FEAR.  even worse scripts could be written....greed is dangerous.....being a visitor places anyone in a very vulnerable position, at best.  Thimk.  Do not be led on by suggestions or hopes.

Question:  end up busted and 800 miles from home?  do you really want to find out just who your real friends are????   you may find out, indeed.

It does not have to be Chicago.....All the cities are going under financially.....NY, PHILA, LA, Chicago, Miami, etc.   Hey, some judge may thing that the fines you will pay ought to be paid when he decides you are guilty....guess what???  They will be used to pay his paycheck.... This is what is coming...It is not going to just be trouble in Chicago.  The risks now are from dime droppers who hate the Visitors..the grab for cash from more organized efforts to "Stop these kinds of crimes" will come later...right now the risk levels for providers are low....but I you have heard and noticed, well, you are smart and observant.  so....
