There is no pressure to do drugs. Some people do, some people don't, it's as simple as that.
The biggest problem, if you want to call it a problem, with porn performers getting lured into troublesome ways is that you have a bunch of 18/19 yr old girls with thousands of dollars in their pockets for a few days effort and they think it's going to last forever. They want to play and party and spend, spend, spend. Then six months later they are overshot and used up and the money dries up and they're in big trouble.
Generally speaking, more mature performers have a goal when they enter the video industry. They don't waste their time or their money.

The problem with the porn scene in my opinion is not one of drugs, but behavior(s). Many actors chase the money and find themselves in situations where they believe the money is too good to pass and end up doing things (sexually) that may otherwise not do if posed in their civilian life. Yes, the risks are perhaps no less outside the porn scene, but when people are seduced by the dollar and forget the common sense, you get what happened last Spring when the industry was exposed to a few performers infecting other with HIV. Had that situation not been checked, how many performers would be passing that off to civilians who of course use no common sense when it comes to unprotected sex? Just remember, there are choices that get played out with certain behaviors. How you live your life is your chosen own, but rarely do choices only impact individuals. Play hard, play safe, play smart.
