Finally some sanity on this issue.

There are quite significant health risks associated with unprotected vaginal sex, but, in the absence of other risk factors such as IV drug use, HIV transmission is statistically insignificant.

"Prostitution is not even listed as an HIV risk category by the CDC, because of the extremely low incidence of HIV transmission to clients who have no other risk factors (i.e. drug abuse)."

well it depends if youre a man or a woman. a man has a much lower chance of getting hiv since the woman is the passive partner. the reason for why so many gays died of aids in the 80s is that a gay male was often a passive partner. has anyone read the medical journal that released a study that states a heterosexual male has almost no risk of contracting hiv sexually if he is not an iv drug user?

I recently discussed this subject with physician.  In theory any bodily fluid—blood, seaman, saliva, vaginal secretions, breast milk—can transmit HIV; however, nearly all transmissions seem to involve blood and/or anal sex.   (In tracking transmission through vaginal intercourse no attempt is made to determine if menstruation occurred during intercourse.  Many think it likely this is a significant factor in vaginal transmission.)   Some years ago it was though that the likelihood of transmission during anal sex was because of tearing.  Today there are more complex theories behind this observation.  However, as more and more data is accumulated it seems nearly all cases occur either through contact with blood or when seaman is in contact with the anal region.

If you wish to believe this misinformation, then please be prepared to accept the consequences!!!!  HIV is the cause of AIDS...there is 99% agreement among the scientific community.   It will be transmitted even if you are 'clean' and have sex for the first time with an infected person without proper protection.  TO believe anything else is insanity.
