There are some that talk badly about the Lounge, but I've had a lot of good times there.
I agree 100%. The LV Lounge ain't the Taj Mahal but it is a lot of fun. I would much rather go there and watch the crowd to see what develops then cold call some random provider with sketchy reviews. I've never left the LV Lounge disappointed, not once.
Maybe it is the thrill of the chase but give me a night out in a club like the lounge anytime.

Its Vegas, so it can get good any night. I have been there half a dozen times and I have never seen it get packed. It is a dive bar and people come and go. I think the key is to go late, after 11PM to see it the most crowded

If you ever experienced going to the Black Lite Bar on Western by SM Blvd before it closed; that is the closest representation to anything in LA. As for being dangerous, you are not exactly in Beverly Hills when going to the LV Lounge. There is a small parking lot out front where TS girls tend to hang around outside. LE drives through often but I have never seen them bother anyone. On the back side is a large parking lot and an arrest of a TS girl was featured on a COPs episode awhile back. Bottom line, LE has their eye on it so just use common sense and stay in the bar vs. walking around outside.
Always be aware of your surroundings at LVL. One time I left with a girl, she was following me back to my hotel. While we were on Paradise, a car came racing up in the left lane and cut in behind me. This car followed me back to the hotel, I just pulled over in parking lot and waited a minute before they figured out I was on to them. Got a look at them as they drove by in a beat up shit car, they were a couple of south of the border dirt bags who were hanging out at the bar, not talking to anyone. I have no reason to think the girl was in on it, she's a regular at the LVL with a decent reputation.
Dog is right any night is good there but I likely have been there more on weekends than weeknights. I've never driven there, always took a cab but I can see where parking would be an issue. It is indeed just a no frills dive bar so it attracts all types but I have never felt unsafe there. Hockeypuck's story is a little unsettling, never had anything like that happen to me there. As always, be careful, stay reasonably sober and you should be fine.
I have been going to the LVL since it opened, been there hundreds of times. I have parked in the front and rear and have had my RV behind my truck many times....never a problem. The girls almost never hang out in the back anymore and only hang out in the front later in the evening. If you want a good top there will be a bigger girl, blonde, huge tits sitting at the bar almost every night from 9pm or so to 11pm. She isn't a newby but she will fuck you good, she is a sweetheart, treat her good. Her name is Barbara, all the girls know her AND she just loves sex.

Was in the LVL in February 2015. The place is def cool with a low down vibe. The girls outside apparently are not allowed inside due to problems with fights, drugs, etc.. Better to avoid anyone on the street or walking around outside for obvious reasons.
Was there on a Wednesday night between 10 and 12am. Met a really nice girl and talked for a while. There was about a half dozen girls hanging around ranging from 3-7 in looks. Several TV also. Everyone is pretty cool, however, some of the patrons get really wasted and act unpredictably (or predictably) so beware. Ended up heading back to her place for the usual, but have seen her since.
Not sure when the shows are held, but I think that is the time to go and check it out.
Definitely beats going to any other place in Vegas for real fun and admirers of the TS girls. There really is no substitute like it in Vegas however Divas in SF is even better and a much better ratio of girls to guys.
