END OF MESSAGE

Hey troops,
Just thought I'd post to let everyone know I'm 16.5 weeks out from my surgery and down ... drum roll please ... 100 pounds!!

I feel awesome, and can really see and tell the difference in everything I do. I had to buy new pants and a belt today, fit into a size 56 waist. Down from a 64, first time I've worn anything under a 60 in about ten years.

Also had my first hobby outing since January, and though I still have some nerves and size troubles, it was by far better physically. Not out of breath and near dying ... which is a good thing. lol And that's not to say she didn't take my breath away, she did.

Take care everyone and I really appreciate all the support I've gotten from here. More from here than weight loss support groups online, imagine that.

Jimbo

Rock on, Jimbo!  Your success and attitude are an inspiration.  Once you see that something can actually make a difference, it makes sticking with it easier (hopefully).  Hang in there, and by all means keep us informed.  You are one of the good guys, and we are rooting for you, buddy!

U the man!  I had a provider hook me up with a book Eat Right 4 Your Blood Type by Dr. Peter J.D'Adamo.  I was 260 & went to 180.  U can do it.  It took me a year but it's worth it for focus, less joint pain.  Shame that she retired but she has left a mark on me.  Tanks Ginger Rogers!

Congrats. Losing weight has to be one of the hardest things to do. I used to be very athletic, even competed in a few triathalons until my knees went kaput. Over the next few years I gained 40 pounds, mainly from beer and having the metabolism of a gerbil. I have not been able to shake more than 5-10 pounds of it and I can't believe how hard it can be for some people (like me) to shed pounds.

So, I know how much of a relief it must be for you to see progress.  Make sure you do whatever is needed to KEEP IT OFF!
