True i think playing against finland or czech would be hard, but if miller is hot and if they get some breaks who knows, It would be a big win but no way like 1980 if they win. But still it would be exciting for USA AND make next sunday and exciting day.
By winning last night, the US prob. (yes, I know, upsets happen) has assurred themselves a trip to the Semis. As the number one seed, they should win their Quarterfinal match-up (against a middle of the pack type team) and reach the semis. Conversely, Canada, will prob. have a very difficult (i.e. Russia, Finland, etc.) quarterfinal game. It is a huge advantage for the US. (not to mention the physical wear and tear on Canada of having to play an extra game)
Miller was outstanding in goal last night. He will need to stand on his proverbial head at least two more times if the US is to win the gold.
Not winning a medal at this point would be a huge disappointment. But, I think there are at least 5 teams that are capable of winning the gold (US, Sweeden, Russia, Finland and Canada) and 2 others (Slovakia and the Czech Republic) that will not be easy outs. Should be a great week of hockey!

The US plays the winner of Switzerland vs. Belarus in the quarter finals. If Canada beats Germany to make the quarter finals they will play Russia.
