Mcgrady really impressed me on his first game.

He really has a great game. I never knew he would be this good with his layoff. He has lebron built but not as muscular. I think bosh would be important to get an enforcer and either lebron or wade would compliment mcgrady prefectly. I think they need bosh and one superstar than the knicks team will change drastically in 2010-2011. I think the magic when Ewing was in town would be back and knicks have never had talent such as mcgrady since Frazier and Monroe. I really hope they keep Mcgrady i think he is closest thing to lebron, he was one of premiere players a few years ago, playing in garden would elevate his game because of all attention he would be getting. To score 26 points on his first game with  such a long layoff i find amazing.

your tune and have begun to recognize that Bosh may be the key to their future success, along with Lebron, of course.  Lebron and Wade, which you kept on talking about, was never really a good possiblilty, and likely would not have worked well anyway.  No, they need a guy like Bosh.

like riley used to say no rebounds no rings, i hope they get bosh  , lee is a good scorer but his defense is fair and that would be too kind,

Yes, we are all (myself included) excited about the possibilities of the summer of 2010. If LeBron wants out of Cleveland, because of his Super Star stature I really cant see him playing anywhere else (since LA is Kobe's team) than the Knicks. If they get LeBron, he alone will be enough to entice another major free agent (Bosh, Joe Johnson, Amare, etc.) to come to NY. If that happens and they sign T-Mac at a discount (IF he shows something positive this year) or maintain David Lee, they should be able to challenge immediately in the East.

Keep in mind though, that 2010 is not the end all. They don’t have to put all their eggs in this basket. Carmello Anthony is a free agent in 2011 and Chris Paul is a free agent in 2012. What if they just signed Joe Johnson for example in 2010 and also retained David Lee. Then next year make a run on Anthony or Chris Paul the year after?? Any of these combinations still greatly improves the talent base.

What Donnie Walsh has done is amazing. Not only has he re-shaped the financial integrity of the team but he has also allowed the Knicks to be major players in free agency by ridding the team of several onerous contracts. These next few years represent a VERY unique opportunity to get ALL Star players in their prime. In most instances you have to be bad at the right time and then get LUCKY in the draft lottery (Knicks with Ewing or the Spurs with Duncan). NBA all stars are generally not available in free agency, especially in their prime, because in most cases teams have long locked them up with long term contracts...they are players teams wish to maintain (Shaq was a unique case going to LA)

Irrespective, the Knicks are once again worth discussing...for the right reasons! (it's been a very long decade to say the least!)

i think mcgrady is closest thing to lebron. he is tall, versatile, good shooter, i would go all out for lebron. but who knows carmelo available in 2 years.  At least get bosh and another superstar. wade, mcgrady, and bosh is quite amazing if we can't get lebron . so we have alot of options. if we have mcgrady and 2 superstars i am going to 20 games, and GALLINERI is a great shooter, just think gallineri, mcgrady and you put wade and bosh thats 3 great players and an awesome shooter. in my humble opinion either wade or lebron we should get one. any team who can't wrap up lebron or wade proves that star doesn't want to stay there. trust me jordan or magic more or less where always on there team. This nba off season is going to be crazy, we have never ever seen so many superstars available. wade and lebron are the top 2 out of 5 players in sport.McgraDY i feel with be on top 5 by next year.
