Suggestion and Policy

Or we could just do away with the whole ridiculous "like" tab to begin with

Aren't the responses to a post a good enough indicator about how a post is received?  Are we so vapid that we really need applause from the peanut gallery every time we make a post?

are logged in to a specific board when on that board?

I think that would be very interesting to know how many people are reading a specific board at a given time

I may have more than one board open at a time.  Actually at this moment I have 4 boards open (GD, RO, Chicago and S&P to which I'm posting currently).  I suppose I could have every one open simultaneously as well....haven't had the interest to do so however.

Why would you think it would be interesting to know?  Seems like the number of reads is a pretty good indicator of interest from other members.

What I'd like to see is show who "likes" a post.  Might inhibit those that have only one like from liking themselves  LOL

As I linked below...seems some do need that applause.

My suggestion is that if one is going to applaud their own efforts it should be visible and duly noted.

I think that Facebook shows who "liked" some post...should be an easy fix (maybe it's not broken?) here.

Would you please "like" this post?

When you wake, and log-in on your lavatory device, you never log-out.

but anyhoo...

My thinking is that it would be interesting to see if the ratio of viewers to posters is relatively straight line, or varies given the nature of the board.

It's not related to having like or unlike buttons which I agree are kind of lame.

I have thought of that before. Why not just make it so you can't like your own post?
