The Lounge is a TS club every night. Some say its a very safe area but I disagree. If you want to be super safe, taxi there and back and ask the bartender to call you a taxi when you want to leave. You can stay inside till it arrives.
I saw an episode of COPS recently and they were busting TS girls on the back side of the bar in the larger parking lot. They let the guy go but still, exercise caution. Cops drive through the parking lot often..just don't be stupid and have a drink outside or be doing anything stupid and you should be just fine. Common Sense goes a long way right ? :

Compared to a lot of US cities the Lounge is not in that bad of neighborhood. Don't be a dip-shit a you'll be fine. The place is a dump but the eye-candy can be incredible. I rent a car and drive there. I park in front, not in the back parking lot. One way taxi ride from the airport - $35.00. Three days of rental car - $65.00. If I have my own ride it's more freedom to come and go as I please. It's Vegas, there's enough crazy shit going on unless you're a drunk idiot, making yourself highly visible, the cops won't bother you. They sometimes bust the hookers in the back parking lot looking for drugs. I've never seen a cop in the bar or bugging any of the patrons.
