I prefer to do my screening one on one. I don't want my phone number and e-mail addy hanging in another providers phonebook either. I personally dump the info. myself.

Hello everybody:
Should I join RS2K?
I prefer to join. Since most of ladies want info about your job.
I would like to join and only be asked by RS2K once.
What do you think? Will your company know or find out about this? Thanks.

I was unaware that RS2K checked your job out?  To my knowledge they check phone, cc, home address, etc.

I didnt think it was worth it becuase you really have to tell each provider all the same info for them to check it out with rs2k, inclding givig out the same phone number.  Whats the point of having your name and vital info stored in a big data bank that the cops could target and still having all the providers get your full name and phone numbers on there computers too?  If I am going to risk that, I'd like to just be able to give limited info to a provider, like a passcode.

I like the verified client system where they use reference and email address and give you code to use- you can then use an anonymous email addy when dealing with a provider. I think julianne is a member of that system.  Maybe rs2k has changed to be different than above description. Any other guys know?

Recently join RS2000 and they asked to verify employment before they would approve me. Had a heck of a time since I'm self-employed. Did give them info about place I use to work for and they eventually accepted this...took a few phone calls.

I'm RS2K member..when applying Cathy explained that once the information I provided..  Name, employment, phone #, etc. was verified, that info was not made available to providers, only that I was who I said I was, not LE, and that I did'nt cause the seen providers any problems.
I don't furnish any info to providers other than name and cell# I think RS2K is great YMMV

a lot of info, including work and personal data. I was uncomfortable about the process myself so I opted not to join.
I hobby regularly despite not being RS2K. There are times when things would be a bit easier if I was RS2K, but there has never been a lady that I have not been able to see because of this.

RS2K should use a code name system so once you get verified your real name is not in the system.  I think a lot more guys would join if they did it this way.

Interesting posts here.  Never thought about a code system.  I joined at the recommendation of someone on board after being rejected by a couple of providers because I was new and not RS2K.

I recently had my home phone disconnected because I was getting some strange calls at all hours of the night, NOT connected in any way with these boards.  I am planning to get a new number this week, but want to keep it unlisted.  Yet I have heard that a lot of providers will not see those who keep their home phones unlisted.  Has anyone on these boards had similar problems, and is a valid cell phone number often enough for acceptance?

I've never had a problem with my unlisted number... I think if you tell the lady in advance the number you're giving is unlisted then they don't seem to mind... at least that's been my experience.

but I joined date-check. They offered me an incerdible deal that I couldn't refuse.

What is Date-check?  DO you have a website?   I was going to join RS2K, but am also concerned about a dotabase with my name & other sensitive information.

I wasn't sure if you wanted that website and mine, so here are both. I haven't gotten my password yet, so my profile is not filled out on date-check. My info is on www.netmichelle.com

How does date-check work?
What info does date-check need?
Thanks.

I love the rs2k service.  I do not need much personal info (much less than if I were going to verify myself) and since it is a third party verification service only, I do not see the risk.  I do not keep any personal information on anyone, and Cathy provides a wonderful service that I feel very safe with.  I wish more people in other places were members, but that is my only complaint.  I love visiting Chicago due to the RS2K service available to me.

It makes our lives so much easier as providers. This is why you're gonna see me again in June. See my post about that.

As a provider, what do you need from RS2K? name only or code only? Thanks.

As a provider you need to provide your real name, city of residence or work (the city you used to register from) and the phone number you used to register with room service with.  Lets face it, most providers are going to ask to see a driver's license when you arrive anyhow... so you'll wind up with their knowing your name.

But, room service is very discreet... and it makes it so much easier for us ladies..
