Perhaps she was so good at what she did because she was comfortable with herself. In the end she wrote her story so that she could still reach others. I have a feeling there are a lot of spiritual people in this business, both women and men.

Forget the book club of that famous lady of afternoon television (some refer to her as "the big O"?).  Join WymenLover's Book Club.  Start with "My Secret Life" for some vintage sexual history (see post below), then jump up 100+ years to..........
"Callgirl", the just released memoir of a Yale Divinity School graduate .......
"Dear Lord, let us pray, may you give me the understanding to be a kind and considerate lover, may you give me the strength to last until this fine lady calls out your name more times than I will be able to count, and may you give me the wisdom to understand that this is not simply "insert Tab A in Slot B" but a wonderous gift."

Based on 2 surveys we've done, about 37% of clients state that they are Christians and about 9% state that they are Evangelical Christians.  Among providers the numbers are 26% & 2%.

More to come

WymenLover, sounds like you may want to create a new list on Amazon.com aka "Listmania!" Anyone have any more books or DVDs to add?

Over recent months I've seen a couple of articles about this sort of literature.

First is quite an interesting piece written by "Belle de Jour", the London call-girl who wrote a blog and reputedly got a six figure deal for it:

Next is an article in the same newspaper about the recent proliferation of "Posh porn":

(Hope these links work as I have them archived.)

BTW, thanks for the link below re My Secret Life.  I've only read the first couple of chapters so far but it's a really interesting insight, not only into vintage eroticism but also life in a Victorian household, as well as the burgeoning sexuality of a young boy.  Thanks a lot.
