Hello. I've been visiting Phoenix/Scottsdale area lately but I'm curious as to good hotel recommendations for the Tucson and Flagstaff areas? Thank you.
Flagstaff does not have any 5 star hotels. Sedona has 2 places that I would recommend
1. L'Auberge de Sedona (creek side cottage)
2. Enchantment
Tucson
1. Ritz Carlton Dove mountain - It is in Marana.
Just to stretch the envelope, La Pasada in Winslow is a major cool place. An original Harvey Hotel, good restaurant (last time I was there), and serious history. But then again, it's Winslow....... Apart from that, the town is a Fist Full of Downers. See the Corner (Eagles fans rejoice, Leboski fans fill in the blank about The Eagles...)
BUT....Put that on your list of things experienced and it's cool. Spend the night,drive out on Route 66.
It's an experience, but don't expect to find business out there. You are going there to expand your life adventures in things that most people never see. Further down the highway, Holbrook is a great place to legally buy petrified wood you'll never see any where else...
