END OF MESSAGE

This just seems so wrong.  Maybe I am just getting old and cranky(er).

The story mentioned that many parents purchased "pimp and ho" costumes for themselves last Halloween.  Young kids mimic their parents, so it is understandable that those kids would want such costumes this year.

A costume for a Halloween fantasy I can tolerate, it is intended in good fun.

But when I heard of high school age teenagers having a pimp/ho themed party, I wasn't quite sure just what to make of that. It does indeed seem like the wrong message to send to the next generation. Do you think they really understand and comprehend just what it is, the role they are portraying. I would hate to think this has been glamorized or sensationalized in some way to the point that children now idolize and mimic it. Then again, every generation of teen rebels and then adapts to the world as an adult.

The whole idea of this still seems just a bit wrong to me. mr.man
