Re: Clients Cancel last Minute as Well

I'm sure that it's equally frustrating for providers since it's lost time and money.  Although it's definitely a different type of frustration.  For hobbyists at least we're not losing money and for providers at least you don't get blueballs.

I don't mind if a provider cancels on my even last minute as long as she contacts me stating she can't make it.  I have had several cancellations and I have no problem with that.

Thanks for your reply and feedback!

This happens on both sides.
I love people to book in advance for 2  reasons. 1. Safety and having time to check out esp new people. 2. I am very busy and have a lot going on besides apts, and I like to prepare and be ready and well rested and have time to get all pretty for the date.
However often Men book and usually they are from out of town coming here or if I go out town they pre-book. They cancel often at the last minute or just dip out altogether and don't even bother to cancel.
This is very costly especially when traveling. Same day stuff rarely works for me. I am just too busy and could be on the other side of the moon so it's extremely hard to stop what I am doing and run back to get ready. The only same day stuff I have that ever works is if its a regular as trying to screen and verify anyone new that quick doesn't always work.
I think the trick is to find clients and providers who are on the same page and there are just flakey people out there on both sides of spectrum.
For me the best way I like bookings is
 1. In advance with all the info provided up front time/date /location with full name and board info and provider info in one concise email.
 2. I then have time to review and check it out and then confirm date.
 3. I usually confirm a week ahead, 2 days and and same day I have suggested the call me an hour ahead for directions. This step is important. If someone on a first visit is unwilling to use the phone and then call again at arrival I won't do it.
 4. If you cannot make the appointment as much advance notice is appreciated.
 5. If the lady has traveled and you cancel it is my opinion that a cancel fee is in order.

 That's my thoughts.

Hi,

I'm a bit frustrated lately with providers who have good reviews on here but have backed out at the last minute.  I like to plan out my appointments in advance due to scheduling at work and booking an outcall location.  Here is usually what I do:
1)  Search for a reputable provider on TER that has multiple quality reviews.
2)  Initiate contact a week or 2 in advance of when I plan to see her.
3)  Confirm the appointment a day or 2 ahead of the scheduled appointment.
4)  Confirm the morning of the appointment.

The last couple of times I did this, the provider was in contact and good to go the day before our scheduled date.  Then when I contacted her the morning of our appointment there is radio silence.  No reply back from the provider at all.  Since I go to great lengths to schedule a date I expect at least a reply back saying "I can't make it" so I can try to secure a last minute appointment.

Any advise for me here?  Do I over communicate?  Does the communication make the provider nervous?

HELP!!!

I also have to plan ahead due to scheduling and have run into similar situations of lost contact. Not a good customer service and will be dropped from my list quickly.

I don't believe that you are doing anything wrong. A lot of providers that I know, including myself, appreciate that much pre-planning and communication.

Must be a run of bad luck.  Flying by the seat of your pants without a schedule or plan in any business is risky business.

Consider yourself lucky enough to have dodged the eventual bullet.

The only real way to combat this is to post your experience with these ladies here on the local board and out them for their bad behavior. I've done it a few times myself when I've been stood up. This being a public board they still have the opportunity to refute your claims and other hobbyists can make their own judgment as to if the lady in question would be worth seeing in the future.

Remember this rant goes both ways, the more communication the better for both parties, but if you think it's a good idea to out anyone provider on this public board then the hobbiest that has his panties in a bunch better be prepared to be black listed by any provider when the shoe is on the other foot and the male flakes out or cancels for some reason at the last minute.
In short, really think things thru, when it could potentially hurt someones business.
As this can an has happened to most any of us who are involved with this lovely hobby

You are absolutely right communication is key and yes the rant can go both ways but quite honestly a provider should take a hit to their business if they cant be bothered to maintain contact and show up when they say they would.

The OP didn't mention cancellations but rather that the provider completely flaked out and so my response was in reaction to that.

As TER rules state you cant write a review if no meeting took place so putting it on the public board is the only option hobbyists have when a provider flakes out. A hobbyists time and money is no less valuable than a providers and they shouldn't be fearful or reluctant of making a grievance known as long as they are willing to stand behind the claim they are making.

Keep in mind the main function of this site is for hobbyists to be able to make better decisions when it comes to with whom they spend their hard earned money and I see no reason why posting something on the public board isn't an extension of that function.

On the other side of the coin, if a client schedules a session and just blows the lady off then he should of course be blacklisted. It works both ways.

BTW you sound like an apologist and I would take you far more seriously if you weren't hiding behind an alias.

I have followed the 4 step process a few times with a highly rated provider (given the benefit of the  doubt), was verified only to result in last minute cancellations without explanation or follow up when asked why.  Unacceptable from a professional/business standpoint with zero consideration or respect for my time, effort and expense.

I am very similar in my approach and planning.  Nope.  Not over communicating.  I also plan in advance b/c opportunities come few and far between.  Being stood up like that would be very frustrating.  I'd appreciate it if you could let me know who did that to you so I can avoid the same situation.

Who knows why the provider flaked on you, and secondly, most of us have dealt with the flake factor that you described.  In my experience, this happens mostly when I had scheduled things in advance.

Therefore I have settled on a general rule of making same day appointments only.  Either it is a go, or it is a no-go in which case you move on.   Whenever I scheduled in advance, it is as if I am really reserving nothing, so what's the point?  You do that, then on the day of the appointment, it is still either a go or a no-go anyway.  Not with all ladies for sure, but it happens often enough to make this a regular annoyance.  The trade off with this is that you generally have to contact more providers in the morning, in order to get one who can schedule you on shorter notice.

If you have to schedule in advance, then have several backup plans.  Just make a list of alternate providers and have their contact info ready, so your entire day doesn't get wasted.

I agree with you that this mostly happens when scheduling in advance.  I don't think I've had a provider flake out on me when it's been a same-day appointment.  I have had cancellations before on a same-day and I'm okay with that (communication is key).  I did have a list of alternatives, however, I really, really wanted to see this provider (her overall rating is above 8.0 and that's for a non-GFE provider).  So like a sucker, I tried contacting her 2 to 3 times during the morning because I didn't want to line someone else up and have the 1st provider say she was available then have to cancel the 2nd provider.  Now I will ask the provider to confirm by 9 or 10 AM and if not then I will start looking at m alternatives.

Regarding same-day appts, I have followed your routine...by making a list of providers I want to see and calling them until I get an answer, however, I usually have a very short list of providers (2 or 3 because I'm pretty picky on what I spend my hard earned $ on) that I want to see.  I would say more times than not, I am not able to get an appointment with the top 2 and then I end up searching for more alternatives.

I still think you have the most beautiful eyes of any lady in town!!
**sigh**

I have never canceled a confirmed date.  However, I have had no shows with reputable providers often.  Once I drove out of my way 200 miles just to see a highly reviewed provider and she was communicating with me to within 10 minutes of the appointment time.  Her last text was cant make it call me next time.  I wrote back telling her the effort that I made to see her but there would definitely be no next time.

Most of these ladies travel in different mind sets than the normal business entrepreneur, even though they are providing a service.  But with the mind set of men, once we get a whiff of you know what we will do anything.  Cant live with them but most certainly can't live without, nor would I want to.

I don't mind if a provider communicates that she has to cancel it's the NSNR that has me perplexed.  I really want to see this provider (I know stupid, right) and am tempted to reach out again and try.  Should I or not?????
