What are you afraid might happen with your records in the hands of the law, with no evidence of a crime?
You could have contacted them and then never actually used their service. Or, you could have used their companionship service, with no sex. Or, you don't know how they got that information.
In my area there was just a bust of a small agency that I had used a bit in the past.
The problem is that they got with the bust a bunch of records with cell phone numbers, and places of employment.
I used this particular agency in the past because they allowed me to by verifying me with previous providers. They did not need from me all the above information, so they do not have it. Just as previous providers did not.
This is why I do not see providers that require all that "proof" of who you are. No matter how many times you tell me that the information is destroyed after my time is done I have no way of being sure that it is.
I do have a cell phone but it is my employers and it is closely monitored. They would check odd new phone numbers. Then how do I explain to my SO why I also need a second "pay as you go" phone. I understand that it is just one more lie but the more there are the more the chance that the house of cards will fall.
I guess my point is that I wish more providers would allow for references rather than life histories.

a pole were taken as to how often that type information was retained to no good end by an indy you would find likelyhood of such being much lower than you would think. In addition to which agencies due to their higher profile etc. keep many things on record than we indies do. Me personaly I tend to save email addies afterwards if there is an indication that future visits are desired simply so that I know that these gentlemen have already been pre-screened. I am also very selective as to whom I give out my phone number to, as a rule only clients I have already seen. (thus again showing they have already been pre-screened). Anything more just jumbles up my computer etc.
Yet on the flip side, I insist on doing my own pre screening that may vary in extent based apon what I know about the potential client. Take for instance the gentleman whom I have talked to frequently in chat and im and know the reputation of in advanse of his requesting a session there is little beyond how do we contact each other. But if I have had no previous contact with the gentleman I do look for more information about him simply to assure myself of the safety of meeting with him under very personal circumstances. I have a pre-screening form on my website that many times is only partialy filled out. As long as I am able to verify the gentleman to a degree that I am comfortable that he is safe that normaly works. There have been times when work info has been left out or other questions. I do ask for handles on TER and the other site for that is normaly my first (and easiest step in verification. Then beyond that I do prefer some sort of second form of verification such as references from other providers whom are well known, and contact information if for no other reason than the unlikely event that there is a last minute problem that may interfere with the scheduled appointment. I will also admit I tend to read any reviews posted by prospective clients in the interest of assuring that I am qualified to provide the quality services they prefer.
However all in all I would say just as we ladies go with what makes us feel safe and comfortable so should you gentlemen.

There was a LE agency in Maryland that released publicly the names of a prostitution ring. Would you want your name listed as a client of a known escort? This information was made public at the City Courthouse for anyone over the age of 18 to view. Suspicious housewives waited in line for hours to see if their husband was on the list.
Yikes! Gives me the willies just thinking about it...
All I know is that if my name turned up, I'd be REALLY convincing that one of my coworkers used my name because his wife is extremely jealous. Then I'd kick his ass, just to make it believable.
