If you have ideas that would make TER a better or more useful site the best place to voice your opinion is the suggestion and policy board.
Would it be possible to include all of AZ in a single regional board? Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tucson, Flagstaff etc.? Would "more the merrier" work?
I believe it has been discussed on the general board. There are no moderators for individual boards. I believe the only "moderated board" is the newbie board. I believe it is swimtrekr and he does it out of kindness for the unwashed masses.

...changing the name to Arizona Regional Board? That could give a more inclusive feel and I like the idea. The Minnesota board is like that. There is one main metro area where >95% of the hobbying is done and 2 or 3 minor cities around the state but the MN board is understood to include both the metro and the greater MN areas.
Suggest it on the Suggestion & Policy board and see what happens.

No one is going to have a fit if the dozen or so people in Tucson or Flag post something here.
Why not? With a more descriptive name for the board perhaps among the more than 1 million people in the Tucson area there are more than a few providers and clients.

No one from TER commented. MY next step will be to send a problem report just to see how changing the name of regional board is done
Obviously the TER model of "Regional boards" has developed over time.
It started out with named cities where there was substantial activity and possible membership. There were also SOME states named where the total activity and membership may be significant enough to warrant a listing.
Phoenix is no different than many other cities:
There is/are...
Atlanta but no GA
Boston but no MA
Chicago but no IL
Dallas and Houston but no TX
Las Vegas but no NV
Seattle but no WA
Philly and Pittsburgh but no PA
Lexington but no VA
Cali is all over the place: several cites and some regions.
There is a New England, a "Dakotas", but no Montana, Alaska & Hawaii.
So should they all be revamped and have 50 individual states?
Flagstaff is not significant enough to be anywhere on any board. Neither is Tucson. Hobby-wise that is

Can you give a rational reason for not changing Phoenix to Arizona? What harm would it do? You don't happen to work for a Chamber of Commerce, do you?

It appears you don't have any logical reasons for not changing the board name. Oh, Now I think I know what's influencing your drivel. You are a history nut and you still pissed off because when the State Government gave Tucson a University and Phoenix the Insane Asylum. Seriously, if you can clear the Methane on high for a minute or two, do you have any logical reasons for resisiting a name change.
Hopefully it may bring more posts from outside of Phoenix and get providers interested in going to some of the larger towns/cities outside of the valley. I think it would do more good than harm.

I'm from Tucson and although I read the board sometimes I don't feel it's inclusive of Tucson. Most of the posts and activity concerns Phoenix,with a post now and then about somewhere else in the state. I, for one, would like to see it renamed "Arizona".
that Tucson hookers and johns avoid involvement on this board because the title says Phoenix?
