Versatile to me means both top and bottom.
I'm guessing that his disappointment was around an inability or unwillingness to top. It has been rare in my experience when a girl has indicated that she is versatile that she wouldn't bottom. I have experienced situations where a versatile lady has been unable to top. I've certainly read reviews where a lady has indicated that she is versatile but won't bottom. So it could be either issue.
...personally I don't enjoy bottoming. It's extremely rare that i do, so I never promise it. But don't advertise as versatile either. I know I have 1-2 reviews that make me seem like a power bottom, but they were fakes I wasn't able to have removed.

I meant to say that Allison enjoys topping and is really into it, and very good at it as well. Plus, she is a lot of fun to hang out with which creates a great atmosphere. I was dissapointed with the person period. I don't mind if I have to be just a top but the few I saw in spain were versatile and the experience was amazing so thought I would try to find someone like that stateside.
