You have to live the life, do the time and suck onto this reality so hard till it comes out of your nose, and your eyes stream tears, and your perception of human nature gets turned onto its head. The greatest writer of the last century, wrote a book called Naked Lunch. Check it out. Only the really good books get banned.  This lifestyle is extreme, it is not suitable for the uninitiated, and those needing source material outside of their own senses should stay where they feel comfortable.  This ain't no American Idol honey.

I guess I started off on the wrong foot here and I apologize.

A little about me...
I am a 20-something college student majoring in English and Women Studies.  I have been involved in the adult industry.  It's been a few years since then and I am writing down things as I remember them.  I meant no harm nor did I mean to piss anyone off.  Again I apologize if that's the way I came across.  When I posted the message I was in a rush and just wanted to put something up quickly.  Lesson learned.

The purpose of the book is to go inside the minds of women in this field.  I have my experiences and my thoughts.  I was just wanting some different point of views.  I tired of seeing the stereotypical 'Pretty Women' movies and books.  I want to produce something real.  Something like 'Monster' but not to that extreme.

What are your thoughts going into a call?  Are you nervous?  Scared even?  Or are you excited?  I'm not real interested in sex stories.  I'm trying to build characters that readers will be able to relate with and give them more understanding about what this industry's role in society is.

There are some women that enjoy being in this field and those who hate it.  I respect both.  I would love to hear from both.

I respect almost everyone that is involved in this industry.  The people I have less respect for are those that run agencies and demand that girl offer favors for more work.

... like Hoop Dreams is for beans. I agree with NM and we don't often do that... Most of the ladies are not here for the porn and amateur movies, though many have dabbled here and there. As you suggest the porn industry is a nasty business (excuse the pun) driven by greed, excess, drugs, and a lot of 'bad' behaviors that come back to haunt people when they think they are immune to the trails and of heartache the life leaves to most who go for too much, too soon. I am not sure TER is a great place to find the audience you seek. Even your premise for wanting to gather "stories" is a weak one. Getting inside the head of these women is pretty easy. This life is a choice. Whether they do it for money or for a run at the supposed riches down the line chasing rainbows (as you seem to be), there is an awful price to be paid. Ask the providers, who after years of providing Greek and can no longer control their bowels what going on inside their heads. I don't think you can print the answer in your local newspaper.
