This is such a devastating thing for these people who most will have to start over from scratch. With the heat and humidity, lack of water and food, electric, supplies etc...Please don't over do it out there. And please help the elderly who are not always aware that they are over exerting themselves. I know it's heartbreaking to lose all your possessions but materiaL things come and go, the most important thing is you have your life!
And it's a beautiful thing to see neighbor helping neighbor and complete strangers offering help,in such devastating times. If we could always be this way towards our fellow human beings the world would be a different place!
God Bless you Florida, my prayers are with you.

I was one of the lucky ones, it wasn't to bad for me. Just alot of clean up and lost of power for a couple of days. JIMBO is still out of power and will not be getting on line for awhile. I talked to him he is ok and just has alot to do if and when they get power back. the last couple of days have been hard on alot of us. I am thankful for my life and my prayers go out to the ones who lost so much. the hardest thing was to see the news and what alot of people or dealing with.  We still have all the way to Z  to deal with.  Be-Good-I-try-to   sassy

Hi Sassy and Friends,

I was in Detroit heading to Chicago when the evacuation orders for Tampa hit. It was too late for me to go home. I felt totally helpless. I live right on Tampa Bay and I knew if Charlie hit not only would my car be covered with 15 feet of water but the roof would probably have blown off the top of my third floor apt. I was sick. The hotel in Chicago said I could stay longer if I didn't have a home to go back to and sent up goodies mid afternoon and words of encouragement. Past clients wrote emails to see if I was okay,,and miraculously Charlie turned by 2 degrees. Sadly, many others suffered in our good fortune. It's given me a lot of time to think about what is important and when I turned the key in the lock last night, returning from Chicago I said a prayer of thanks. Friday, I didn't think I was going to have a door. Today, I'm still getting little notes from you to see if I'm okay. I've always been proud of what I do for a living but now I'm even more proud. You all are wonderful.

Many thanks,
Anneke
PS..give my love to Jimbo. I have a feeling I'm gonna see him pretty soon.

By means of a donation to the Red Cross Foundation... anyone else interested should log onto the link I provided. Then look under the HELP NOW section on the lower left side in yellow. If I missed any with my prayers just know that they are with you now...

Thankfully you ALL have been spared.

God-speed to you and all of Florida

  FR.

Otherwise I would have been very concerned.

I wasn't used to having contact with people throughout the country.

/Zin
