Patting can feel nice, but not for a really long time. Just kind of a tease. Spread labia can actually hurt me, if spread too far. Just my two cents.

I asked this question on the Newbie board, but got no answers.  I hope there are some ladies who will help me out here.

In some porn films, the guy spreads the lady's labias really far apart while he is DATY.  Is that just for cinematic effect to expose the clit, or do ladies actually like this sensation?  

Also, I often see someone patting/slapping the lady's mons--maybe three times per second or so.  How pleasurable is this for her, really?

While I can't vouch for others, in my experiences, a slight spreading apart of the labia does increase the sensitivity to the exposed areas - I enjoy it!  As for the patting and slapping - when done so gently but still quickly, this feels good, too!  When tapped too rough, sure it becomes unpleasant very quickly, so then I just smack back!  hehe :)
