If you missed the History Channel show on Brothel Technology, you are in luck....it repeats tonight Tuesday at 10 p.m. Eastern time.
 Included is a segment about steam operated vibrators.  Doctors in the 19th Century used them to help women suffering from hysteria.  I recall reading that the vibrator was the fourth or fifth appliance converted to electricity.
 My experience is a little different than that of the 19th Century physician.....I find that women are usually hysterical WHILE I am attending to their physical needs, not before.
