My brain is not too big, so I do really well at discussing things on a point by point basis.

1. Amount of personal information required:  Unless you are going for some BP jail bait, by contacting the vast majority of established ladies out there, this experience requires you to show your cards first.

No references, no P411 pre-qualification? Sorry.  It is you that is wanting to engage in contact and it's up to you to prove that you are a) not John Law; b) dependable; c) not a psycho killer axe murderer.

2. IMHO, pictures are representative of the ladies.  Granted, things may change a bit, but they are the same.  If you have issues where they do not, you should check out the reviews and only deal with legitimate ladies out there.

Hi all,

I'm a newbie and had a two questions based on discussions I've had with a good friend of mine.

1. Amount of personal information providers require. I've seen a lot of requests for personal information required by providers (i.e., name matching id, work information, etc). Of course, references from services like P411 as well. Do folks have concerns that that information is retained by providers and is floating out there? I found this article from last year that seemed to indicate even services like P411 aren't safe (https://maggiemcneill.wordpress.com/2014/01/28/something-in-the-milk/). I get the safety discussion but if that's the case, why wouldn't hobbyists demand the same information from providers?

2. Pictures. How current should provider pictures be? Is it ok to ask that question on how current are the pictures? Read a few different reviews where the reviewer says pictures weren't current. I get that professional pictures are expensive but I think most of us would be fine with more accurate candids. I've seen some providers out and about who when you look at their pictures vs. the actual person, there are pretty big differences.

Not trying to start any badmouthing or anything like that but honestly looking for advice.

Appreciate it.

I mean honestly how often can this happen coincidentally??

Just sayin...

You're telling me you've never seen someone out that you recognize? Providers throw their pictures up and Phoenix is a "small" town so there is likelihood that you can see someone out. It's not happening every time I'm out on the town; it's happened a couple of times.

My intention isn't to "creep" people out but to ask a question on why some providers feel the need to not be 100% truthful about their appearance (i.e., post pictures that are a couple of years old, etc).

Sorry if you interpreted in a creepy fashion but it was never meant to be that way.

I don't know how that makes it a "small town".  I have ran into people I know from real life but the chances of you seeing even 1 provider out & about by chance are extremely slim unless you happen to be in the area they live/work.  Who knows though, stranger things have happened.

I can say that I have seen two women that have posted on here a couple of times at places like target and another woman who daughter was in my sons second grade class. I never spent any time with her or indicated that I even recognized her. It was somewhat entertaining to see her at school with all the other Moms knowing what she did in her free time.

Phoenix is a small town?   Last I heard it was around the 7th or 8th largest metro area in the U.S.  The chance of just running into someone here is slim to none.

Phoenix has several popular local hotspots where a lot of people go and if you go out often enough, you start to see the same people. That was what my small town reference was meant to convey.

Again, sorry if people are mis-interpreting the post. Feels like I made a mistake by asking some basic newbie questions if I'm getting attacked.

Thanks Dave for your advice

you scan the board, these questions have been asked over & over...  & over & over...  & over & over again.  With SB around the corner NOBODY is feeling particularly forgiving  or welcoming.  Shop with care, get some reviews under your belt, then come back & talk to us...  You might find the responses a bit warmer.  As odd as it sounds, we've all pretty much had to earn our place here.

Best of luck

So your personal information should be safe with them.

However, if you are extremely paranoid, try seeing a provider who is newbie friendly. After you submit your information, ask her to delete it. Which, reputable providers will delete your information, save for your number and first name

It is no longer a truism to say that some foreign entity "can't get a Subpoena because its not located on US soil"

People used to say that about Swiss bank accounts, their vow of absolute secrecy was part of over 100 years of established law and tradition, it could not even be questioned.   Plus they are on foreign soil, and therefore out of reach from the American government, right?  The bankers were put in a situation where had no choice but to comply with the demands from the American government in order to save their own behinds, as well as the behinds of anybody who even knows them, from asset forfeiture and prosecution, so in the end their American customers were the ones who would get double crossed and take the fall instead, some of whom were subsequently prosecuted on their own soil.  Food for thought.
