It is rude if you're not upfront with the provider to let them know you are just pre-screening for a future date. They do have a life outside of this hobby so that bit of information could be useful as to whether they do the screening now or a little later based on what's going on in their day.

Guys of Phoenix...
during a conversation with a number of ladies this past week, we all have had this happen and wondered why:

You contact a lady, go thru her screening process, get cleared and then never make or have an appointment with her?

Why go thru everything for nothing? Why waste your time as well as hers?

Thank you in advance for any insight you could share.

Just plain rude. Sorry for my gender - some of us are just pigs. I hope you gals talk amongst yourselves about these idiots.

I would never do that. I'm probably going to make sure everything else is acceptable before going through any screening. If location, price, looks are all ok, I'm going through with it

I have screened with a few providers without making an appointment, but I make her aware that I am pre-screening for a future appointment so that I don't have to wait when I do schedule.  It saves time and allows for short notice appointments as my schedule can change during the day or week.

I like to plan my adventures well in advance but sometimes l have unexpected open time and suddenly the little head takes over and logic goes out the window. Often I am successful with a quick screening and both heads agree to take action but other times the screening takes too long for the short window available so I have to move on to solve the immediate primal urge. I understand the need for caution and discretion but the little guy can get impatient. I know that you were one provider caught in that scenario with me and I do apologize. Now I have a few ladies who have screened me and can be available to meet those sudden needs so it is less of an issue.

I have gone through the screening process before with providers and never bothered to schedule a session. One time, I provided the information requested and while I was waiting for a response, I found another provider who I wanted to see more. It's a preliminary step and along the way many things can change, so I don't consider it a waste of my time.
And to the poster who said it was rude, I completely disagree. Not showing up for an appointment is rude. Not scheduling an appointment after passing the screening is not

Regardless of being pre-screened,  things can change.  I personally will never commit to a same day appointment unless I know the person requesting it very well, as in multiple BCD appointments.  Primarily because I have daily obligations I have to attend to.  Secondly,  I have visions of the poor bastard who is requesting the same day appointment being detained by LE and coughing up all he knows so as to get his ass out of the jam he got into in the first place by making a same day appointment with an under cover.

I was one of those gents that did some pre screening last year so when I had some free time I could maybe book a date without having wait several days for a reply.

Unfortunately I had some medical issues come up you know one to many smokes, martini's and parties and had to take time off from the hobby.

I'm still hoping that can catch up with the ladies I had contacted and maybe a few of our new lovely ladies.

I have gone through prescreening as well but was clear with the lady I didn't have a set date yet.  I travel a lot and my schedule changes so getting it to sync up with an appropriate lady sometimes takes a few shots.

I have NEVER gone through the prescreen just for fun or just as an excuse to trade email.  That, in my opinion, would be RUDE

As someone who looks at a provider as more than a commodity, the email correspondence tells me a lot about what time I'm going to have. Ladies who take awhile to respond to emails (if they ever respond) and are just generally difficult to schedule with are more hassle than they're worth. Higher likelihood of last minute cancellations, drug/alcohol issues that affect the session, craziness, and going through the motions during the session. If my spider sense gives me red flags, then I just move on to one of my regulars who are more than happy to see me. At that point providing screening info is a sunk cost.
