With all due respect - don't talk to the police.

I'm always worried after leaving a providers hotel.  I fear that her place is being watched and that I will be pulled over after leaving.  Is this normal and is there a way to reduce this anxiety beside having them come to me? Anyone else feel this way?

Dont worry about being pulled over after the act by five-o, that like getting pulled the next day for a dui and being sober. But,  be wary about lurkers and cautious going back to your car, never know who may be waiting in the shadows looking to roll ya for your last nickel. Thats my biggest fear when I meet at a hotel. If there is people hanging by their cars when you arrive and its a 20.00 a night motel...see ya I am gone no matter how hot the girl was in the pics...and even if she is verified. I will call and advise that I have to cancel. I rather loose the chance at meeting her than loose my bank roll or get stabbed while loosing it trying to defend myself. My 2 cents (which is my bank roll as well LOL) Good luck!

If the cavalry didn't break down the door while you were doing your best work then you should be home free.  What are they going to bust you for after the fact?  Obviously the person you just left wasn't LE, otherwise you wouldn't have gotten past 2nd base.

I am not a lawyer but have been told by a lawyer:
Any time you are pulled over you should let them do the talking. And they will try and scare you to talk.

So in this case you brought up, they can not prove anything. You were visiting a friend. They have nothing. But they will threaten you by saying they will tell your wife, boss, whoever unless you talk. But remember they have nothing so just answer their questions with yes/no. Do not giver anything other than that.

They have nothing but will try and scare you. So just keep your mouth shut.

Just what I have been told.

Good Advice! You may want to forego the part about visiting a friend! Show them your ID and when they come with the first question, I WANT MY LAWYER PRESENT BEFORE I ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS. That is the only intelligent thing to say! Good Luck!

Thanks for all the replies. I remember reading a news story that LE received info that there was business being conducted at a hotel so they watched the room and arrested everyone after they left. My thoughts are how can they prove what went on in that room? I guess as long as both parties keep their mouth shut we should be fine...I hope.

that LE will sometimes intercept tricks after a meet and threaten/try to convince them to flip on their hooker. They need people that will admit to what was going on to help build their case. Just play dumb if it happens.

This is why choosing the right girl can be a make or break situation, literally.  ALWAYS choose someone who values safety above all else.  If she isn't interested in knowing you or anything about you, then she probably isn't taking any care in who she leads to her location either.  Always be aware of your surroundings.  Survey the area around the place.  Including outside of the parking lot.  Always ALWAYS look for "regular" cars with people just sitting there for no reason.

If the worst happens & you are questioned on the way out.  Hand over your ID & Always answer a question with a question or state something like "I do not give you permission to search my person or private property, I am exercising my 5th amendment right & will not answer any questions without the presence of my lawyer".   DO NOT EVER LIE.

LE: Where are you coming from?  You: Am I being stopped for a reason?
LE: Do you know someone here?  You:  Is there a reason I can't come to this hotel?
LE: What were you doing in such & such room?  You:  Why am I being detained?  Am I under arrest?

You get the gist!  Stay safe!

I was with you on much of what you had to say except for the comment about telling the truth.  I will lie my freaking ass off to LE or any other Govt ass-hat trying to screw me over.

Lol remember anything you say can & will be used against you in a court of law.  If you think you may lie it's best to say nothing ;)

...it's illegal for a citizen to lie to LE. You can be charged with providing false information, obstruction of justice, etc. The advice Caramel gives is sound. Keep asking, "am I under arrest?" "Am I free to leave now?"
The paradox in stating that you won't answer questions without your lawyer present is that if your lawyer is present, he/she will advise you to not answer any questions anyway.

My very first time, as I was walking through the courtyard of the hotel (three to four stars), an older woman sitting at a table yelled at me and said, "Hey!  Hey!  Come here.".  That freaked me out, but I just ignored her and kept on walking.  I can only guess at what she wanted, but I'm absolutely certain I did the right thing.
