You have to fight to win. It is not good enough just to tell people to vote.

Let me rephrase my earlier comment.  I was only stating a fact, no candidate supports legalization, not in AZ, not in any state.  I wasn't saying to give up.  To say that you must vote if you want a change is an oversimplification that won't yield any changes on this issue, no matter who you vote for.  It is like saying if you want to buy bananas, get out there and go to the gas station and buy them.  Maybe the advice is well intentioned, but it's not correct advice.

The underlying issue is that a lot of people believe that legalized prostitution involves hanging around on the streets, pimps, violent crime, doing tricks for drugs, sexual slavery, etc.  A lot of feminists believe that it is degrading to women and involves male dominance over women and therefore it's wrong.   A lot of women feel that it it is legal, they lose control over their men.  "If you don't do X for me, no sex for you."  If that power over men doesn't exist anymore, those women lose their dominance over the family patriarchy and it threatens family life.  Then you have people who think it should be illegal because it spreads STDs.  In summary, there's too much opposition to making it legal, for any of the above and whatever other reasons exist that are out there.  Cutting to the chase, if a politician supported legalization, it's political suicide.  So telling people to go out and vote won't make any difference whatsoever.

That being said, if you want to make a change for real, the better advice would be to form/join a grassroots movement that promotes legalization/decriminalization.  Therein lies the rub, how many people do you know who will work on public campaigns for this issue, put up posters, raise money for this, attend rallies (with their spouses, no less), appear on the news media, and hold demonstrations in public saying things like "What do we want?  Prostitution!  When do we want it?  Now!"   I don't know anybody who's willing to go out there and do any of this stuff, the real supporters of this are generally married men who aren't supposed to be engaging in this activity in the first place because their wives wouldn't approve.  But that is what it would take to get it done for real.

So this is what they want, for people to give up and feel there is no choices.
Then guess what, you have what is going on right now.
I don't like most politicians, but we can't keep giving our rights away as taxpayers and American citizens.

I am going to post this on some other major sites as well but haven't had a chance to this past week.
In the last week someone (I am assuming LE) copied and pasted my own ad and included my photos and made several ads on Backpage. They then proceeded to book appointments with my clients and had them meet them at local hotels in Tucson- and asked them to give their names and phone numbers to call them upon arrival.
I do not know who / and if anyone got busted, but I do know of a few guys who luckily escaped because they don't use their numbers and we had a different system going.

GIRLS...if you use Backpage for your advertising alert ALL GUYS that someone (probably LE) is creating FAKE ads that look just like ours and booking appointments with our clients.
The only logical explanation is that LE is doing this to bust guys in Tucson.

GUYS! Do NOT answer backpage ads directly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For instance- LE changed my email address to create these fake ads- they included an extra "x" in my email address.
MAKE SURE WHEN YOU WRITE US GIRLS ASKING FOR AN APPOINTMENT that you are writing our email addresses EXACTLY! Not just a FAKE email address that closely (VERY closely) resembles our own
Keep in mind that they can't use our own email addresses for their fake ads so they have to make their own up!

I can't tell you how much this infuriates me and I am going to get to the bottom of all of this.
Also when you book apps with us girls from now on and you've seen us before- it's probably wise for us to include some info so we know it's really us since Tucson is probably cracking down

Not only that but LE was seen around many of the hotels all this past week- I could not even take apps because everyone I turned there was LE milling around

Please be careful out there- ladies SCREEN! And guys SCRUTINIZE ADS AND ALL email addresses you use!

Not that I want to see a beautiful lady with 520-555-5555 pasted across her body but might keep you and the guys safe.

I'm not sure that would help unless I'm misunderstanding
The cops used all of my photos and verbiage to create their ads
So even if I did put a phone number on the photos that would not stop the cops from saving the images and uploading them onto backpage pretending to be me :(

It is really cool that you take the time to help others by posting your info. Maybe post with "The Original TucsonAlexia" Good luck sweetie!

Now I found out this has been going on for at least 4 solid weeks if not longer
I showed the emails to girls who can attest for the authenticity of this problem
I plan on showing Morgan Marie Akiya and Nicole Lords all of the fake emails and ads as well
This is a serious problem i have no idea how long this has been going on behind my back

Wow... That is definitely serious!  I am so sorry that you are having to deal with this crap.  I really hope it is nothing worse than someone messing with your business.  Either way it is super sneaky.

I really do appreciate you sharing.  It had not occurred to me until today that this is something anyone would do...

Stay safe hun!

Hang in there Alexia, you have some strong supporters. in Tucson.

This is just plan Dirty Way of Doing anything. Why can't some fancy ass lawyer sue the fuck out of them?

Really ? If our state needs money so bad just grow up , emulate California or Florida  and put in a toll road . Seriously . Some fucking civil law should be being broken by this horseshit.  So sick of AZ repressive law and and life.  I liked AZ or the idea of it years ago when I came here and now I just wanna leave to a place where is "Live and Let Live" . Fuck of AZ law and Rules  .... Really

And just who do you suggest we vote in? Unfortunately there precious little support for the legalization of prostitution in AZ. The average voter doesn't see this industry as independent women setting their own fees and choosing their own clients. When you say "prostitution"  they envision girls working the street and underage and or trafficked women who would never willingly chose sex work for a living.

While this industry has its set of problems for sure, it's the illegality of it all that allows the the truly negative aspects of it to flourish

I dont disagree bigguy, but currently there are no options on the table. Besides, making this illegal is far too profitable for LE. They are far more interested in padding their pensions and getting overtime on our dime then they are interested in protecting the people they purport to serve.

What political group was in power, before this state became a police state when it comes to our hobby?

So we can research for providers, homes, cars, Jobs, vacations, schools etc.

We can't research political candidates, who keep taking away our rights as American citizens?

It's more than just this hobby, it's about our American rights and which political party is really taking it away.

Okay so here is a hint, which political party is in power now and who was in power when the hobby crackdown started in Arizona?

Why is this same political party fighting for the second amendment, but put in these laws against our hobby? Also why are they picking and choosing, what is right and wrong for us?

We are adults here and have to see the game they are playing!

The correct answer to that question would be the founding fathers.

Aside from that, every state is currently a police state when it comes to our hobby because it is illegal everywhere in the US.

I am making a bigger point than, just this hobby.
The laws that were just passed in this state was the founding fathers?
Please think about that statement!
They have been dead for hundreds of years now.
So yes each state has their version, of crackdowns on this hobby.
This state current laws and actions by far are the worst.
The founding fathers, did not pass these current laws.
It's the current people in office, who pass these laws and keep trying to fool people with that logic.
They pick which things, they don't like and pass laws against people who disagree with them.
It's not just this hobby.

I myself just moved to Tucson from Wisconsin! IF anyone knows Wisconsin, they know LE has been cracking down for years up there and it has become very unsafe to even post on backpage. So my plan was to stay away from backpage even down here in Tucson. I am seeing Phoenix has been having issues with LE as well. The best thing to do is stay safe.

Thank you for the info I will be in Tucson today!
