It was SO WET (How wet was it?), that SRP stopped irrigation for a couple of days.
From my view point near Squaw Peak, it looks like more stuff coming in from the East Valley.

Maybe there's a reason that so many areas that flooded weren't built upon in the first place.   Just thinkin'...

Not so sure I want more rain now.
At my place we got over 5 inches in just 8 hours. The ground is still wet and now we have another storm Odile coming in this week.

Who would have ever thought we here in Phoenix we not welcome rain.

Any one else feel this way?  Any one else just finish cleaning up their yard and pool?

We need the rain but this is ridiculous.

And I always thought you liked it when you knew 5 or 6 inches was coming(sp?).

You are right. I do like it when that much is coming but it was just so messy and I just finished cleaning it all up. :)

Miss ya!

For those of us who lived here in 79 & 80 yes there is such a thing as to much rain in Phoenix.  The only bridges that stayed up where Mill Ave and Central, it was a 4 to 5 hour drive from Tempe and Mesa to Phoenix.  1990 when the new (under construction) Mill Ave Bridge collapsed into the river on live TV. I've been here over 40 years seen at least 6, 100 year events and 3, 500 year events so I'm convinced the weather people have no clue as to what is normal here.

They are saying the airport may open late next week.  Their room at the resort wasn't damaged but there is no power and no water pressure for the toilets. It's still raining but tolerable.  Sporadic cell service, so they are communicating via social media.

I certainly hope we don't get rain like last week.

I was hoping for more rain this week but NADA.  I'm near you and got 5.4" (rain gauge full).  I'm almost done doing yardwork.  Tomorrow I hope.
