as the Case May Be)

Other than a few recent posts on another Message Board, it has been ages since I've posted here. Hope there are still some of the "old" crowd who remembers me. :)

Now, on to the topic at hand.

Ladies, I fully understand why you want to be cautious by screening and/or wanting references. But, I could not believe this....

When I contacted the lady (sorry, no names) in question, she promptly got back to me. :)

Since I don't dabble in the hobby like I use to, or only see a gal once (because she's not worth a repeat), I couldn't provide references.  However, I was more than willing to provide her in advance, my employers website (where she could see my picture) and office phone number. As well, as sending her a pic of my Drivers License (so she could that I was who I said I was, before we got together).

She still wanted a copy of my Work ID. But that doesn't have my pic on it. So, she said...

No.

Usually this wouldn't bother me. But, this was one gal that I really was wanting to see. And I felt really bummed out about it.

This takes being cautious to a level where I am surprised that she gets any clients at all.

I think there is something missing from this story. I am not trying to accuse you of dishonesty but does not quite come off as the whole story. What ever the case may be, it's not happening and best to move on. Who knows, she probably just has a gut feeling that somethings not right and she is going with it. In this business, "I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason" is sacrosanct and should be respected.
I just find it hard to believe that this is strictly a 100% reference issue. Never heard of a provider wanting more than a drivers license and even that, for me, is a bridge too far. You can try the above recommendations concerning references but my guess is she will decline to see you no matter what. Hell, maybe she saw your photo and you happen to look just like her dad or something, you just never know. Good luck.

I must agree with 60 min. It is always the right of any provider to refuse service to anyone notwithstanding, that you are probably a good guy. In the current hobby climate with all the BS LE going on, most people are more careful and for good reason. I suggest that you consider that you may look so good to her that she was afraid she would fall for you. That's a positive idea. I am curious, if you gave her your employers name and all your information, why not send her your ID. Maybe she is not the lady for you. There are many wonderful ladies in our area. Why not call another provider and get some current reviews and try again. Good Luck to you.

I said that was "willing" to give her whatever info (employer, etc) she wanted. But, since she said no to that, I never sent her anything at all.

So, in my dreams, I pounded her silly. :D

Unfortunately, both my age and income are against me to dabble too often. Also, I like my gals a certain way and very few meet my criteria.

Sorry for not getting back sooner, but first visit since I posted this back in mid September.

Nope. Nothing is missing. I told her I was willing to provide her with employer contact info, web site, d/l, etc. But, she said no.

Hmm, IMHO, kind of hard to get a "gut feeling" when communication was only via text.

But, I may be old enough to be her dad. :)
