We have all had this happen. It is so irritating and such a waste of time. In some cases, you may consider a second attempt and the provider should reward you with something for your kind understanding. We all have situations that occur, emergencies, things beyond our control. However, if someone flakes and offers no explanation that is persuasive, I would pass. Phoenix has a myriad of GREAT providers that are probably IMHO the best in the country. Read reviews and you may learn that the Jewels you are looking for are here, and will not disappoint. Thank you for your important service you have provided for us all. Good Luck to you!

Would welcome thoughts from professionals. I'm baffled.
I'm a professional fit normal SWM - just back from military tour (wife divorced during deployment...sigh)
I'm on p411 and have solid ref's.
Here's the baffling part... I set a meeting with two apparently great providers ( two hours... well described, classy)
And both flaked.  This after arranging my schedule, canceling engagements with colleagues, etc.
It seems that service professionals would want to act in a way that encourages other professionals ( guys with incomes and stable professional behaviors); but, alas, no.

Second question: does a guy submit a review when a provider does this?  Don't want to be a jerk...but don't want other guys to waste their time

IMHO, that fcking sucks.  If you get ripped off or scammed, you should be able to let us know.  No matter where you go, there is always something jacked up some how.   Still better than the other options out there...
Be safe!

I'm sorry this happened to you.
Sometimes, things do happen, us providers are human beings also BUT I know that personally, I try my hardest to keep lines of communication open with a client before an appointment. Whether it be asking them if I can confirm our appointment an hour prior, and actually doing it, or letting them know as soon as I do that I won't be able to make an appointment happen. Then, I try my hardest to make sure that I'm able to more than make it up to them (if) we do get to reschedule.

But, not every provider thinks the same way as I do. It does suck that you can't write a review on that, but at the same time if you could, I'm sure some providers would have nothing but stand-up reviews, and when/if a guy actually got to see them, the reviews of an actual appointment would get lost in the mix

I certainly wish other providers shared your approach.

It seems so obvious that flaky providers would attract flaky clients.  Why would any business person want flaky clients. Flaky people, generally, don't have disposable income; so, aren't a very desirable client demographic.   Dependable, professional clients will be attracted (and have the means and desire to pay) dependable professionals.

I'd hoped that P411 and TER would help quality clients find quality service providers.  Disappointingly (and frustratingly in many ways), good clients and good businesses (the quality, professional service provider) can't find each other.  When that happens, the market becomes a self-defeating crap-shoot.  Clients can't reward quality; so quality goes unrewarded.
Ultimately, this encourages low quality clients and low quality services....and a dull solo night unable to find a dependable, quality provider in Phx.

Bummer way to come back from Afghanistan

I think choosing a provider really is more than just a matter of them being on P411 and/or TER. I mean, I am not currently on P411, however I am on TER. Does that make me any less reliable? No. I love my clients and I understand that their time is just as valuable as mine is. But I think it comes down to how somebody views others, and you really can't tell that too much until you have met somebody. Thankfully, like tvlaw said...Phoenix has an AMAZING range of women who won't stand you up, and who will treat you like a King...and for all you've done for this country, you deserve nothing less than somebody who will spoil you, and take care of you.

The good thing about TER is, that the discussion board is very much like a community, ad most of the guys have no problem giving you a recommendation about which providers are good/bad from their own personal experiences.

Thank you for serving the US!! some girls can be pretty crappy as providers, but please don't get discouraged there is still some of us who value our clients!!

I have heard similar stories from a large number of my clients that girls either completely flake/no show...or MORE COMMONLY show up exceptionally late (over 20 mins late)

On the other side of this equation though, I am noticing similarly disappointing behavior from gents who are confirming appointments with more than one lady for the exact same time/day to "hedge their bets" in the event that their first choice flakes they have one or two back up options. I believe this is bred out of the flaky behavior of some less than professional providers.

I came up with an outside the box solution that is working out decently. I offer a discount off my posted rate for any appointments which have been *secured* with a 50%/hour deposit will benefit from a $50/hour discount off posted appt rate.

That is brilliant  I would gladly pay for dependable quality.  I make economic choices every day that reward responsible people.

I don't think I'm naive; but it would never occur to me to 'hedge' in anticipation of unprofessional behavior from someone I want to give money to. If good restaurants routinely accepted your reservation and gave away your table, soon you would not make a reservation and that restaraunt would only serve people who accepted that irresponsible behavior.  Being an irresponsible business is a great way to attract irresponsible clients.  My guess - no one would want the customers who would eat (no pun intended)  there.

Your idea is great. I would gladly pay for that level of service and innovative thought

Great advice.
Th good from that experience was that I connected with Madison Malone
Too late to get together, but, now can't wait to get back to Phoenix.
Her communication and approach to people are truly awesome

Post on this board what happened, just don't name them publicly.  Tell the guys they can PM you to get her name.  At least the word will get out.

Among the reasons I liked so much doing business with Alexa was that she not only texted me in ways that helped to quell my ever growing LE fears, but she was also good about making and keeping our appointment.  That's one of the reasons she is at the top of my list for providers to see.  I need to feel safe and respected.  Alexa provided both of those elements.

I've had more than a few experiences of No call / no show, and I've even had some cash and dash experiences.  Those are some of the things that make me, and I'm sure others, somewhat hesitant to engage in this hobby.  TER is the only element that helps to improve that

Great advice.
