away from it was if you are more active than "usual" one might consider getting in MORE often.  I felt he was definately using 6 months as a minimum default.  ("the amount of dating I do" suggested to me that he felt the usual 6 months was enough for him considering the quality of test he usually gets.)  I think also he reposted this thing when the "porn star scare of '04" was going on and that's where I found it.

It frightens me that boys in the hobby don't get tested, as you pointed out.  Hereby referred to as dolts and freaks.

I'm tested every four months...not because I date so robustly but because I go in for other stuff (diabetes, ad nauseum) and might as well take advantage of the blood drawing going on.

I don't know who Mathesar intended for more frequent testing.  Quantity of dates only matters as it increases a provider's risk level.  So I'm only speculating but I'm under the impression that your basic, safe provider is gonna be in good shape with the six month plan but, perhaps, a particularly high volume provider or porn star are ones who might want to get tested more often for the benefits of early detection.

Sorry Sedona, I didn't mean to suggest anything else.

For the providers protection how often should you get teasted in the hobby?

Something along the lines of:  I'd hold an argument that one should get tested after a certain number of dates...  not just go by length of time.

Just a minute...I'll go find the damn thing....
hold on...hold on....

There it is:

you see he resolved to the 6 month testing anyway?

The virus is time-related, not quantity related, and so I stick with that.

Based on the frightening percentage shown on the past TER poll of how many test at ALL, I think as long as you test at LEAST  every six months, that is sufficient regardless of which methodology is yours.

Of course, this is based on using proper protection, or having any suspicions or other circumstances.
