so.... sooo.... many choices... do I meet with a man who want harmony and peace in the universe.... or with a regime who oppresses and kills the opposition to my very thoughts...?!  who, who do I meet.????   just sooooo many choices.... I gotta get it right.

If I were Obama, I would jump at the chance to meet with the Dalai Lama. Of course, I'm a bit biased as the uber hippy in me used to be a Buddhist in my younger days.

shouldn't meet with him. Let's be a bit pragmatic. China buys our debt. The majority of the companies listed under the S&P 500 get a healthy portion of their revenue from China. There are 1.5B Chinese wanting to enter the middle class and buy shit, thus helping our economy. I own a lot of commodity stocks, and the more they consume, the more I make.

Look, a lot of countries treat the opposition and citizens like shit, but this is about investment, growth, and getting the economy on track, and at the end of the day, the economy/money trumps all other initiatives, domestic and foreign.

This is looking like 1994 all over again. Clinton, like Obama, went left his first 2 years, and guess what happened? I'm not expecting the Republicans to control both Houses of Congress, but at least they don't have to worry how Olympia Snowe votes on key issues. So Obama will have a choice. Continue to pander to the wack jobs on the extreme left and be a one hit/term wonder, or move to the center, don't fuck with the economy, take credit and get reelected.
