Generally speaking, people who carry are gun nuts. They're not very bright. They're not very stable. And often they have hatred for other groups of people. These people shouldn't be armed. Liberals should be armed instead.
It was fairly well know here in Illinois that in return for a majority of the state legislature’s financial support for the Olympic infrastructure, the Chicago Democrat machine was going to have to support a concealed carry law (for the state, not to include Cook County of course)
This was something I was really looking forward to. Looks like it’s not going to happen anytime soon now.

I'm all for concealed carry laws, but the problem is that most of the people who carry, are precisely the people who shouldn't be.
I think Rio got the nod for a simple reason. We don't live in a America-centered world anymore. That's both good and bad for us 'Mericans. It's good that we can go on vacation to exotic places that have a stable enough economy so that you don't have to step over piles of child prostitutes huffing glue, the down side is that the rest of the world thinks of you as a has-been and isn't interested in hosting a sports event in your town.
