Alias gives you some protection, for reviews or posts, but it's not complete. Unintentionally, I have already given away too much information since I joined TER. It's like paper trial. Everything can potential help someone to track you down. When you have too much to lose and can't afford to lose it all, you need to be extremely careful of what you do. I also like to give back, but not at the risk of self preservation.
