I am always fascinated by what other people collect. Collections are so revealing about another person. They indicate a passion held by the collector. As kids we collected baseball cards, Barbie dolls, etc… As an adult I collect golf score cards, being the cheap bastard that I am. My sister, on the other hand, collects logo golf balls from courses that she has played.  And, if it is a resort or a historic course, she splurges and gets a logo visor.

The more unusual the item collected, the more fascinating!! For example, had a friend in college who collected panties from every sexual conquest.

I wonder if he is still collecting them? So, I am curious, what do you collect?

13 of my memories are posted on this board!!!

I tend to collect 3 things:

1) antique furniture - mainly small mahogany endtables,
2) old dead ancestors - I do genealogy, and
3) young people - it seems that even though our kids have grown up and moved out, their friends know they can come to our house for a day, week, or even a month to seek refuge from their evil parents/drunken boyfriend/mean ass baby mama/etc.

I'm trying to quit collecting other people's kids. But hey, they've been hanging out at our house for years. I guess this empty-nesting makes it hard for me to say no. :(

I'm up to about 45 of them.

My favorite one is "albeit"

Yup, I'm a weirdo.

(But hey, you can't beat the cost.)

MaNy things..

Antique Jewelry

OLD Picture Frames

Hair Clips (Geisha/Victorian)

Old Books (pre-1900's)

Right now I am collecting Old chandeliers to install in my new house.

SHOES!!!

I collect dead people (genealogy) and top 40 songs (mp3) from 1890 to present

...of postmarked envelopes (also known as "postal covers") and books from the Civil War, and (here's the quantum leap), the Space Race...
