What if TER required either a review written every 90 days or paid membership to post on the boards? Might that sweep out some of this Udoesque trolling? Hell even one review a year might do it...trolls are gonna troll until it hits them in the wallet. Annoying to have to scroll past all this nonsense to get to something interesting.

As for Udolt and the rest of the SPOTY candidates, trolls are a part of TER, they always have been and they always will be.
In theory the best way to neuter a troll is to simply ignore him, but we all know in practice that never seems to happen, my only other potential solution is to simply ridicule them, hence the SPOTY's

Some truth to that I suppose...my issue is more with these posts that are just patent garbage with only one purpose, to generate an indignant thread. My mother loved providers, a provider surprised me by bringing her sister, etc. That's the 5 year old stuff.

Trolls are like that proverbial "pimple on your ass"..you know it is there..it might bother you a little..but eventually it loses it's pus and just goes away..
What I'm starting to wonder, and keep in mind I've been on the boards about a month so I don't know shit and may be stating the obvious, is if Udo and numberonehobbyist or fidiot or whatever, are just alter egos of escalade...they certainly all seem to be Johnny on the spot for each other in some of the threads.

I am a member of another board that has a specific board for trolls to rant & let me tell you the regional boards are a whole lot more welcoming, fun & informative. Just a thought.
