I miss aliases in general. But I'll mostly miss the funny ones, and all the spur of the moment ones that were just created on the spot to answer a post.

I really enjoyed having and using them.

Since I never did anything unethical with them, I have no real concern about outing them if anyone is curious if a particular alias was me.

What really pisses me off is the way a handful of people seriously ABUSING aliases ultimately made them unavailable to all of us. I warned that this would happen some time ago and sure enough ... I was right.

There is, incidentally, a parallel and a warning from this that should be understood in the rest of our lives. A handful of people abusing a freedom can get it shut down for everyone.

Yes I know mine were very difficult if not impossible to figure out.
I never did use them to launch an attack but had no problem returning fire.
The moderators did keep things under control for the most part, therefore no need to eliminate aliases. Offenders could be moderated and posts could be kept from the boards. I think mods should have been allowed to flip an alias if it got that bad. That would have eliminated much if not all the problems.
